I'm not convinced it's in the right place either (and I live within a mile of it!). Newmarket's great selling point is that it is literally two minutes from the M62 and therefore great for away fans in a car. To be honest it's pretty easy for people from the west side of Wakefield as you can use the M1 and M62 and Ossett to Newmarket is 20minutes (on a good day) probably no longer than Belle Vue. The big problem is Public Transport and people who normally walk to Belle Vue. How far is the KCom stadium from the centre of Hull? There are currently no facilities in the area either. The nearest pub closed some time ago and there is one shop at Moorhouse Estate. Still these things are minor problems compared with actually getting the thing built. As many others have said, I'll believe it when I see it or in my case sit/stand in it!

My work mate usually gets it and then passes it on to me, and hes currently away. Will call at the shop then and get it myself.

Yes, I agree regarding public transport, but maybe Wakefield could work with local bus companies, maybe an arrangement also for sponsorship. We are served mainly by Arriva, but there are also a few smaller independant bus companies operating around the Wakefield area. Also, if there are more businesses nearby, then there would be an argument for more buses anyway for potential employees

There aren't any bus services now - but 'specials' could run on match days. Could even ask Pinderfields if their staff car park (the one off Aberford Road, currently closed at weekends) could be used as a park & ride if parkings tight at the stadium.

Leeds City Council has just brokered a £40+ million deal for Leeds Rugby & Yorkshire Cricket so clearly it is within Wakefield Council's remit to do similarly for Wakefield Trinity - if there is the will!!

So our unfit for purpose stadium means the RFL won't allow us to play out of there any longer without solid plans for moving into a new one.

The political will is all that's being asked for - it's also what seems to be lacking

Quite frankly I think it is worse than Belle Vue.Access is terrible , with the one road, surely it has far less seating than Belle Vue , we have a better clubhouse and the back of our stand has not collapsed.But Sky are orgasmic over the atmosphere.

Also our floodlights have never caught fire

Although that could be because not enough of them are working to cause them to overheat

I'll have to take your word for it regarding the club house as they won't let us Cas fans in yours.

Last game there was the first time its happened to us. No one allowed in Cas colours. Same in Con club.

Now this is the real mystery isn't it ? How come we are targeted for Health & Safety measures ...barriers floodlights etc when good old Cas don't seem to have any problems......walls falling down/ lights/stands catching fire and NOTHING is ever mentioned.

Right, it's obviously a Cas thing, maybe down to the animosity between supporters for the last few seasons?
