Still a load of horse cack then!!!
How do you know what the criteria will be in future years?
How do you know Wakefield wont meet it?
What relevance is not making a profit now in a dilapidated stadium and having a cc semi final spot, when teams in modern stadia cant turn a profit after a cc final spot?

| When posted the topic yesterday it was obviously an emotional knee jerk reaction to all that has gone on recently, you could say the straw that broke the camels back.
I'm proud of the clubs heritage and I'd like to see us fight to the end and YES I will be at every game to support whats left to pull on the shirt. But as I said I dread to think what it's going to do to the young players we'll be left with.
All I hope for is AG can sort out the mess and get some players in by whatever means.

I was just about to post to say that all this talk of rolling over and pulling out is total tripe and not what we should be thinking at all. Keep on supporting the 17 in red white and blue and whoever has the balls to take over the running of the club. It's obviously going to be a bumpy ride but whilst we still have a club we should never give in. Glad you're back on board!

Never really went to be honest. Just very upset, as we all are. Very worried about the players that'll be left.
As I said I'll be there!

yes and a massive one at that.
now you have picked up the dummy that you spat out your saying what the club wants to hear, the club and players who ever will be left will need as much support as before and we know its not going to be pretty.
game after game will be a task in its self so we need to restrain our selves from getting on the players backs when it all goes pear shaped

| Just look at how quickly things could change for the better. New owner (finally) takes over , and, injects some much needed cash (not masses), positive decision on the stadium, the club is an entirely different prospect.

I'll settle for a club to support at the moment, wherever they play.

| Our Club does meet the criteria other clubs are following our examples and we have a community and academy dept second to none we just don't have our stadium yet but we will get one, And the fans will return for an enjoyable afternoons rugby the problem is RFL hate the Richardson just as much as most wakey fans they just wouldn't b**ger off in time for the damage to be minimized now its an uphill battle for the good guys to sort
If we show unity we keep our dignity and eventually get back on a good footing with the RFL but only because we have to not because we want to they are not moral in the way they conduct there business

| Just remember, the actions you pursue now will have a great bearing on the future, Rugby League, like any sport goes in Cycles, you only have to look at Hull KR to see the amazing turnaround in such a short space of time.
Your day will come again, will certainly be visiting Belle Vue again this year, what a horribly, brilliant place to visit!
Good luck in securing your near future.

| Quote: Pat Bateman "very good buisness man is wright, as proven.'"
too right that mate, some cas fans slate wrighty cos he's never spends too much on star players or overpaid players, we've had some but not many, but he's a business man and he keeps us afloat, and as most wakey fans know ted has been completely different. a team doesn't need lots of stars to be a winning team, look at when we had raper as coach we had decent players but not world beaters yet we were 80 mins away from the grand final, ok we didn't get into the grand final but we got closer than we have ever been.
what wakey need is someone similar to wright, a business man, hopefully glover will be that man, not overspend on players and keep you running either breaking even or at a small profit, you won't see loads of silverware but you will not find yourself in the situation you are in now and every now and again you may find a coach who gets that bit more out of your players and you do well in the playoffs.
i'm quite happy with how cas have gone on for the 10 years or so, we got relegated twice but we continued to run the club as it should be run (unlike wigan) but it has kept us afloat (which is good for a town club) and every so oft we finish in the playoffs, i would love for us to finish in the playoffs every season and reach the grand final every season but i am a realist and until we get the new stadium we won't.
another good thing for wakey is to get a very good commercial manager like craig, he has worked wonders for us as shows with getting probiz to sponsor us and he just seems to get better sponsors each year.
you have wanted ted out but unfortunately he didn't go early enough for you, i personally would only want wrighty to go if the owner of probiz decided to buy him out, because i have never knocked other clubs for having sugar daddies as some people put it so i wouldn't be a hypocrite by saying i would love cas to have a sugar daddy and someone with the marketing power of probiz would be excellent, i would use his name but i keep forgetting how to spell it
wakey are in deep at the moment but if glover does take over and you do end up in nl then it gives him 3-6 years to get wakey working as it should be and although there is no guarantee you will be allowed up there is also no guarantee you wont, so lets presume you do get back up then you could be similar to cas not being over successful but running smoothly, a better coach would help as good attacking rugby is attractive, i noticed on superleague show how they were commenting on how much they like cas's attacking style of play, things like that help to attract decent sponsors.
i know i mention my team a lot in this but only as an example, i'm not trolling or taking the mick, if we can do it as a town club then anyone can, its all down to who runs our club and who coaches. as one of my favourite historical figures once said "I do not fear an army of lions if they are led by a lamb. I do fear an army of sheep if they are led by a lion."

I've been there. I know how it feels to think your club is dead thanks to the workings of politically minded people and owners with anything but the clubs best interest at heart and I totally understand. I said some things I regret at the time, and others I very much don't, and it's tempting to walk away from RL and the club completely, but then you remember why you support them in the first place, that it isn't the clubs fault and you all deserve better so walking away wont solve the issues you're going through or the pain you're feeling.
I say this as a fan of a club who has been through this, and come through it stronger, and it could happen to you too as long as you believe in your club and fight for it.
Anyway, good luck everyone. It's tough times for many, and nothing worse than feeling like the fall guy for other less deserving causes.
