Quote: vastman "So long as it's not the one you live in I'm happy.

You really are arrogant at times. So you don't think that most fans are not fully aware of the issues at stake, only you the great oracle knows. Se are not worthy.

I did enjoy 1998 or are you going to revise history as usual and take that one away from us all.

We should be able to compete in the Championship in terms of winning a fair few games and generally having more fun as speccies (won't bother you and your fantasy season ticket), doesn't mean we will be the best or win it but it will probably be our level for a while.

Then when you invest your millions and take over the full running of the club we can return triumphant to SL
You are really taking your patronage quite seriously and backing the board. I note you didn’t say you enjoyed the seasons before 1998. I see the usual when you take over the club which was a £1 but is now £1m which I guess is inflation however who would want to invest in a club that is currently an embarrassment both on and off the field.
I would correct you again with your persistent misinformation that I do not have a season ticket, I may not use it but I do have one. I won’t expect an apology it’s not what you do unless you are told to do so by those that control you.
I am not arrogant just a realist which for reasons above you cannot be. I believe that some things as loan repayments are part of a confidential agreement so please tell me how anyone other than your controllers at the club will know, it’s how businesses work.

Well we all know one contributor to the site who will always be found to surprisingly back whatever those on the board do, it’s as if he under their control.

When you say 'WE'. Do you mean Wakefield Trinity?

Sorry if I get confused about that sometimes.

I asked what we did with the money saved when we stopped paying the rent upon purchasing the ground. It didn’t go on any ground improvements unless the cost of plastic chairs have increased. I was pointing out that we will have to start paying the ground loan back which will reduce the available funds on top of what we lose from Sky. It is not terribly difficult to understand if you really want to that not having funds now will be even worse next season if we are relegated.
The phrase “there are none so blind as those who will not see” appears rather apt for some on the forum.

Win or lose tonight that won't change the face that the club needs a complete rebuild from top to bottom. (Actually perhaps not all the way to the bottom as the Academy appears to be successful). We need a new board with actual ambition and who are prepared to speculate to accumulate. We need a new coach who actually knows how to coach a team and build an attaching structure not a glorified assistant who got a job because he is a good bloke and will have been cheap. We need a complete rebuild of the playing roster which has gradually got worse since circa 2018 due to poor recruitment.

The above all applies whatever division we end up in.

This is spot on. I am also interested to know where the Langi money went because he was clearly included in our playing budget before back tracking and staying at Catalans (I don't blame him by the way) If it turns out we spent it on the likes of Sid, Minns, Butler ET al then that is almost as criminal as spunking circa £200k per year on Gaskell and Lineham

We started paying the council loan back, is that not obvious?

I'm disappointed you don't have the answers. Maybe you know where the club got £1.2m contribution towards the current redevelopment?

Not true I’m afraid.

We’ve been paying it back for a while and that’s the reason a certain bus route is still running.

No idea where you’ve got that from but it’s an unban myth.

Depends what you mean by paying it back i guess. I believe it is the loans interest we pay on it now. It’s a low interest rate only available for local government but on a £3m+ loan that still adds up. So in that respect you are correct. The actual repayment part doesn’t kick in until the development is built and operational. It is why the full charge remains on balance sheet.
