| Kershaw took his try well rounding mamo like he did, and he made that happen it wasn't just a straight pin back your ears job, he made it 6.....anyway, Kershaw always looks catch able, he always looks 6 inches short in a foot race.
Tom has suffered a few injuries and doubtless lost that early days proper keen edge of pace for the time being, but still, he never looks like he'll be caught, they match him for a bit but the end result in a foot race is nearly always the same, an unchallenged score.
Its nice to have some diversity of strengths on the wings though.

Continually backed him? I doubt that I even commented one way or the other and certainly told you very recently that I trusted MC to make the decisions.
Have you got your tickets for the Cas game yet?

You know as I do that Pochings message will have been to relax and express yourself, that’s what most new coaches say, not much else you can in five days.
So I reckon we will see a few crackers like that in the next few weeks.
Pochings Job now us to find a way to incorporate that freedom into a workable game plan, especially once the excitement dies down.
He’ll live or die on his ability to do that.
CC did it for a while but from my viewpoint it seemed to be him who got rigid and tense and the joy of the first few seasons evaporated.
I’ve never coached but I have been a manager most of my working life and I’ve been pretty good at it. If I had one piece of advice for Poching it’s this. Know when to shut up and say nothing, don’t get trapped into the idea that you have to show who’s boss on every trifling issue.
Keep your powder dry and make it clear that when it really matter you and only you have the final say. If used sparingly and fairly most respond.
In coaching the way I see it is that you are the assembler of talent who gives a core structure to the teams style of play. Once the players are on the park you have to trust them and give them the belief and the loyalty to the cause they require.
The only difficult task is spotting those players who are not playing as part of the team and getting rid. Some coaches seem blind to this and eventually it catches them out.
Read Alex Ferguson’s biography. The players were never his friends, they were only servants of the club as was he. He liked the players and wanted them to succeed but the moment they stepped out of line, lost fitness or lost their desire they were out. It wasn’t personal, the club just came first. He also rarely got hung up on tactics or preparation, if you were fit and on form you played and within the lose game plan provided you expressed yourself.
He even admits that towards the end of his career he got to caught up in tactics and the squad system and regrets doing so.
Over to you Mr Poching.

| Quote: vastman "You suggested Poching would pick the team CC would have picked because he is somehow incapable of making his own choices, this is nonsense.
Poching picked pretty much the team almost every knowledgeable manager or even supporter would. It was pure logic, only Senior would have been replaced by Lyne by most but he wasn’t available.
All the positions made sense as did the tactics.
As for dropping Miller, our most consistent player throughout the season begets belief, as proven today.
You did what you always do, you started rubbishing and undermining an individual before he’d even begun, why? That’s my issue with you, everyone is a loser from the start with you, except that is for the one player you liked from the week before.
Poching had five days to prepare his team and he did ok. If you must judge him at least do it at the end of the season. Fairs fair.'"
No i said cc wouod of picked the same team in disappointment as i hoped he would change things like playing kelepi in sr not playing senior so once again vasty you are incorrect.again i was shocked that hampshire was not playing now weather he was injured or not i dont know i am aware he was training in the week now if you actually bothered to attend games you would of seen that ryan was far more effective than miller last week and the game game started going downhill when the ball started going to miller more did ryan deserve dropping to me he didnt and as for miller been our most consistent player well i think not theres a few who would be abead of him.see im not rubbihing willie at all i wish him the very best and even cc i wouldnt describe as a loser ive never made anything out like that about anyone.although i know of one person i could think of been one....

| Tanginoa in the SR is constantly mentioned but he doesn't have the work rate in defense that we need.
He's more valuable to us in the front row.
Pitts had a great game today.
I was behind the posts and could here him talking. He is a leader in the team whether he wears the arm band or not
Westy is the same.
Ashurst looked knackered but I'll bet his stats show that he was knackered because of the work he was doing.
If you put Tanginoa in the SR you gain a destructive runner but lose in defense slightly.
I'm happy with Ashurst and Pitts and maybe Batch should be replacing Ashurst soon.

I think kelepi is more a destructive runner in back row.although for me pitts is our most consistent player never really see him have a bad game

| Though Miller went well today put in some big hits .Work well with Llino the pair did more than hold there own against two of the best halfs in the game.Kay and Walker went well at 9 and Jowitt was steady away at the back.Four key positions in a rugby team,They play well the rest of the team play well Some times rugby is so simple

| To say Miller is not consistent is rubbish he busts a gut almost every game. And as for us going downhill last week because of ball going to Miller is utter tripe. When Shudds got on a roll it looked like Miller was the only one trying to stop them.

| Lino's try was one of the best executed tries I've seen at BV in a long long while. Excellent backing up and each player involved just in the right place at the right time. Classic try from TJ who made excellent yardage when bringing the ball out of our 20 meter area. A game breaker try from Lee Kershaw and a 40/20 from Milky..... What a day????

The Lino try was outstanding.'"
Lino had a great game today and has silenced a few detractors with that performance, his jump to take the ball between 2 wires players who towered over him on our line and save a certain try was simply brilliant and to say he was up against some of the best half’s in the league he didn’t seem fazed and was ably assisted by Miller behind a pack going forwards .

I will tell you like I have told others I will not be in the country so no I will not be at the game. If Chester had not made watching Wakefield so deplorably bad I may have had more interest and booked my trips better but with talk by MC of another contract that was not a consideration. To save you making the same statement for each game i won’t be back until the middle of September.

But is he the most consistent like some say.? No for me.millers job is to provide scoring opportunities which he doesnt do constantly.we dont exactly score alot of tries do we yes fantastic result today really proud of the lads but we only created 2trys (one great one)2 of them where given to us and despite a 20 pts lead with 15 to go we held on to win by goalkicks
And watch the game back from last week when we where in control ryan was doing most of kicking and forcing errors and making hudds turn there backs then the ball started going to miller and he was kicking down there throats and giving them easy ball return and the game started to change.im not knocking him esp his effort but our most consistent player is joe or jay by far
