| I would first of all say I did not attend today therefore my question is more statistical based. We appear to be conceding a large number of tries out wide with opposition teams appearing not to have any problem outflanking us.
We did better against Huddersfield but it was a different combination therefore is it the coaching or the players or nothing to worry about.

I don't think we've conceded many tries at all this year. What you mean is that of the tries we have conceded, they have been out wide, which shows we are strong in the middle. All teams concede tries, but better to be on the edges as the kicks are not always made. We won the Salford game on the back of that.
Sounds like a positive to me.

| No shame first loss of the season being Wigan away - bounce back by smashing Widnes. Annoyingly though Cas'll batter them.

| Disappointed but not disheartened, but for a couple of refs calls at crucial times we may well come away the spoils. Closer than the score line suggests, I'm looking forward to getting back on the horse against Widnes.

| Very little post-match reaction on here ??
As previously stated, we couldn't get today due to mothers day commitments, but did manage to listen to the first half on rhubarb radio then got twitter updates from youngest daughter's BF throughout second half.
So what was the overall consensus ???
Was the scoreline a true reflection of the game, or were we badly done to with the disallowed tries ??

| To win at Wigan you need to play well and get the run of the green. Today I don't think we got either. I'm not saying we were poor but a couple of calls that on another day went our way and you win. The forward passes didn't look forward but as I said on another day we score. I think Wigan just about edged it , but if we continue as we are we'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season.

| Didn't go today so was all that hype about our great and improved defense against the Shudds last week a little misplaced?

| Obviously disappointed that we didn't come away with the two points but certainly not the end of the world.
We were competitive throughout the game. Had a couple of calls not gone against us, we could well have come back with the points.
There would have been a time, when today after going 2 scores behind, where we would have fallen away and conceded further points. Not today, we kept going and kept trying.
Four from five and I will take that, wasn't it 2 from 5 this time last year.
Let's dust ourselves down now and focus on the next game

| In recent seasons to come away from Wigan with defeat of 12 points would have been known as a moral victory, however missing out with the rub of the green for what could have been 4 Tries is disappointing. From behind the posts I thought all 3 of BJBs opportunities looked good and Finnys effort looked good but there were lots of players in close proximity. A good effort by all the team lead by Danny Kirmond and a great seasonal debut by Tyler Randall.

Finn’s was a definite obstruction, and BJB’s first looked fine to me. Not sure about the other.

| Like I wrote it looked a bit congested for Finny, but the 2 passes BJB received didnt look forward, and the pass where he kicked through the whistle seemed to come late. Also not going on about it much more but the ref blew up straight away when they lost the ball and Grix & Kirmond picked up with the line open.

| I thought we commanded the first 25 minutes but then lost intensity and gifted them a soft try when BJB flew in and unnecessarily left his wing unattended for a walk in try. We still managed to get the ascendancy back and take a deserved half time lead. Kendall gave us just about naff all. Holding down in the tackle was reffed by the crowd and it appeared one rule for them and another for us. I will need to see the replay for the BJB disallowed try. Looked level but end on you can't be sure. It was a tough call though as I have seen dozens of tries like that go unchallenged over the last 10 years. The 2nd BJB forward pass incident did not look forward at all and I would be very interested to see that one.
Overall, I would say first half spot on, second half we had a very bad opening 20 with completions and in the end it told. Kendall made it worse but Wigan probably deserved it though more like by 6 than 12. A great effort by the lads I thought. I overheard a couple of Wiganers chatting as I walked back to the car "They're a good side now, you know. That's a good 2 points. They pass it around lovely". Not bad to hear from the opposition fans

| I thought after the first 20 minutes Wigan were on top. They were the better side. The halftime score was about right but second half I thought we were quite poor in our execution and discipline. Wigan were smarter around the ruck and I also thought they made metres down the middle with more ease than us. There were some real easy scores for Wigan where they didn't have to work particularly hard which was disappointing. The 3rd Burgess one was a shocker. Overall, the effort from the team was great but second half Trinity were just too sloppy and you can't gift teams like Wigan that kind of field position as they will put points on you.
BJB, Randell and Lyne did very well.

Hope it was okay. I landed at Manchester Airport from Dublin at 1.45pm after a half hour delay. The train I had booked from Manchester to Wigan was cancelled and had to get a 60 quid taxi from the airport direct to the stadium to make the game on time. The main broadcaster, Ben, who had all the equipment was stuck at Manchester Piccadilly because of that protest that occurred and couldn't get a train to Wigan so I literally had to do the commentary by myself from a mobile phone an hour after landing from a stag weekend in Dublin. Hope it sounded alright for people.

| The 3rd try by Burgess was a shocker to give away and a real gamebreaker.
