30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Ha! Yes, slightly overestimated your recruitment there!

| Good hard game on a pitch that did,nt suit either team. Why dose,nt the season start at least a month later, i,m sure the weather and pitch conditions are better in late november than mid february. As ever, a pleasant visit to belle vue.

| Quote: Sandra The Terrorist "I agree, made some completely bizzare decisions, the best for me was near the end when the ball was lose and clearly went forward off a Wakefield player into touch, it was against the laws of physics for it to have hit Welham (I think) and gone backwards off him. Despite being stood five metres away, he didn't see it. That's not acceptable, he has to be in the correct position.
We also got some weird calls in our favour, he looks out of his depth.'"
Stood at other end of ground and i could tell we knocked it out, he is clueless and the linesman must have been asleep.

| We had everything going for us in the second half; Dobson off the field, Murrell a passenger on the wing, a man up for 10 minutes and enough possession to win 2 games, but we just couldn't convert the pressure in to points. It was very frustrating at times! Credit to HKR for their defence but I feel we could and should have come away with 2 points today.

| frankies drop was the game changer i'm afraid but we are within touching distance of being very very good imo. More games will make a big difference so bring on bradford.

| Was there some kind of fracas in the away end? Noticed a bit of a kerfuffle then a load of stewards arriving on the scene.

| Quote: kinleycat "Picked our own pockets today, we had more than enough ball, took either the wrong option, made a mistake etc.
Credit KRs defence it was outstanding, and ours was caught napping following long periods of attack.
Fair result, great attendance and keep the faith, KR were 100 times better than widnes last week and for long periods were the better side.
One point for Agar, move Aiton to 13, play Ellis and Wood at hooker and spell Ali from the bench.
Oh and another Isaac John needs to start imposing himself a bit more, two games down and I am not hugely impressed, not scapegoat material though!!!'"
I think this is a very fair summary of a game we should have won! against the run of play maybe but Rovers were there for the taking.
I also feel that Wood should play from the start, he has attacking flair that was lacking prior to him coming on. Raleigh MOM for me!

Would never have happened if I'd been there - when I drop a quid, it hits me on the back of the head on the way down.

42850_1303637344.jpg WE ARE WAKEFIELD, WITHOUT THE RICHARDSONS’ WE ARE STRONGER:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42850.jpg |

| As others have said, we competed well against a team with a much bigger set of forwards in conditions which didn't really suit our tactics of trying to throw the ball around to avoid getting bullied up the middle.
I think Collis looks a great centre and fox should score quite a few tries playing outside of him when conditions improve.
I think Tim Smith's vision caused them problems and created some opportunities for us that we couldn't finish off due to wrong decisions on our part and some great defence shown by KR.
The forwards all put in a good shift and Aiton looks set for a big season especially on firmer grounds where his ability to get out of dummy half quickly will catch alot teams out and give us a good attacking platform.
As has been said already we are effectively a new squad so whilst I am disappointed we lost, I am happy to accept the effort shown by the players and believe they are showing positive signs that as the season progresses and they get used to playing together we will continue to improve.
Finally, whilst we did not manage to convert some of the chances we had, IMO there was still a great deal more attacking idea shown in what were trying conditions, then we ever saw last season.

When Agar was in charge of Fc this happened alot loads of pressure on the opponents line but then they either looked clueless or kept taking the wrong option and didnt score. Then the opposition would have less chances but seemed to be more clinical.
Kr where there for the taking and the cats blew it.

31007_1580947500.jpg EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_31007.jpg |

Happened in front of me, and unfortunately started by a Wakey fan, who cracked someone when Hull KR scored their third try. KR fans were angry by it, lots of shouting and finger pointing, and the Wakey fan decided to have another go.
To be fair to the KR fans, it didn't spread beyond the small group involved, and I thought those immediately involved showed some restraint and tried to involve the stewards first.
Don't know what provoked the Wakey fan, but as it was as KR went over, I presume it was having the nerve to celebrate.
Pretty unsavoury.

| I thought we were pretty evenly matched for most of the game, think our defence was key at the end of the day, our lad's worked very hard. Hick's just isn't up to the job in my opinion, made some very strange decisions today.
Think you have the makings of a good team there, I'm sure a few will underestimate you, best of luck for the rest of the season!

| I thought last week we were much quicker round the ruck and with ball in hand than last year....today we looked like last years team slow and very predictable...which suggests that with the i pitch being like a hard pitch we are a dry weather hard pitch team so hopefully come the spring n summer we will look alot better.
Funny how people see things different ...last week i was singing Smiths praises from the rooftops this week i thought he was very very poor...same with Ali last week brilliant this week at times a liability.
Its a bitter pill to swallow with Dobson off the pitch down to 12 men how we didnt win this game.We waited in defence clueless in attack, put no pressure on Hall at all who took over as their pivot both with ball and when he was kicking. Our licking game and 5th tackle options were pathetic.
Positives Cockayne,Collis,Aiton Raleigh and Wood for me.
With more compusure in final 20 metres and once the halves do what they get paid for i think we will be there or there abouts come September.
Still gutted though
