He has been a prolific try scorer, granted. In the past 3 seasons he has also missed around 50% of games through injury problems.

How many of the pack from last season were 30+

Add to that an ageing half back whos played even less than JM

Yes JM age and injury history is a worry, but he is a massive improvement on Innes Senior

I know Minards gets some completely misdirected criticism but being too old to play on the wing is probably a new one for him.
He needs to get his act together on his fitness




I think should probably leave the jokes to FIL.

Having spent so long playing for one club, would his heart really be in playing for us in the championship, the last thing we need is someone just going through the motions, as others have said fitness to play with any regularity is also an issue.

I heard, on good authority, that JM would beat TJ in a foot race down the wing.......

Can see us picking up a few seniors but I doubt we will fill the team with them. Didn’t work for Fev last 2 years.

If you have signed JM you don't need to worry about him giving his all , it is just not in his makeup not too. True he has lost some pace and he would certainly not catch Johnstone but give him the ball 30 meters from the line and few will stop him from scoring, on top of that he will give most of your forwards a lesson in how to make metres away from your own 20, I wish he was staying at the Giants but hey ho i would rather he was going to Wakey than any other club. If you've signed him he is the best one you'll make for next year, and good luck for next season.

Yes that is why Powell will want him. Eden scored loads out wide under Powells time and most of them only needed him making less than 10 yards to the try line

Fev made 2 good signings in Reynolds and Minikin.

They look to be improving their squad despite failing for the 4th season running.

They will likely be our main competitors next season.

I’m really looking forward to seeing who we sign.
