| What happened to the Welsh winger that went to Featherstone, has he gone back to the Valleys? He had a bit of pace.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat.

Still in the Fev squad but not getting game time. I think.

Indeed. I know people think I back him up all the time but this is a massive flaw for him.
Whether he's right or wrong about the agent he doesn't like, a CEO has to be able to negotiate rather than stubbornly dig your heels in.
He's lost us an avenue to getting good players.

And will cost us the chance of keeping some of our own as well.

That was definitely me! Yeah, I got that wrong.
That's the problem with new, untried coaches: you don't know until they start.
As for poaching the other code, union forwards don't run the same way or tackle the same way. Union is good for backs. Not so good for forwards.
I presume the club is thinking of a Championship rebuild. Try to do what Leigh have done. The new stand and pitch maintain a full-time squad and push for a Grade A or whatever.

That's the plan no matter which league we are in.

Bit of both.
I have been told more or less that some new money is coming. I haven’t been told how much.
Given the position we are in, which is near certain relegation. At least on League position I can’t see the need for millions straight away, though it would be nice. I don’t think you’d find many willing to invest huge sums right now.
What makes me laugh, and I suspect you and the smarter posters on here have worked this out. Despite what the trolls say Carter still pumps large amounts of cash into the club. When he leaves that will stop! These haters just don’t seem to get this. The financial hole will be enormous.
If we can find another MC to plug that gap in the short term we will have done well.
There is an old saying, you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
If it’s any consolation I get no feedback from MC anymore, I’m not sure he likes me all that much. But that doesn’t mean I can’t see what he does and has done, he’s fundamentally saved the club. So much so that after 25 years of flirting with relegation at least if it happens this time we can survive - it was a death sentence until the last two seasons.

Why should the financial hole be enormous unless he plans to take his investment back whatever that actually is. I wonder how do you know he pumps large sums of money because he stated from the outset and even prior to the Hull game that he could not do this and that any expenditure came from what the club generated.
The reason we have been flirting with relegation is down entirely to the club’s lack of investment in the playing squad culminating in the debacle that is this season. He had a chance to build a legacy just a few seasons ago but opted to let the balance sheet rule hence we were at that time the only club to run with a profit.

I believe that the vast majority of fans have appreciated the policy of letting the balance sheet rule mainly because we got sick of seeing us nearly die at least three times during our Super League era.
When you're dead, you're dead.

He also stated in his statement about the resignation, that the club were in debt to the tune of £2m, and that he has invested £2m into the club. To me that would indicate that the money he has put into the club was right at the start. Even more so, considering he'd put money in before taking over.
Whether the £2m is correct, for me is open to debate, and we will never know, but I do have reservations about one of those £2m comments.

Well you're certainly right with you don't know what you have until it's gone.....applied to Miller, Fifita, Arona, Batch, TJ......replaced with in essence, Smith, Atoni, Proctor, Taufua etc. Not really surprising we are struggling is it.

Even if we make a break we don't get far.
A Mason Caton-Brown would be nice'"
I've had this conversation with you before! I don't get the point of having fast wingers the way we play? We create virtually no overlaps in most games, because the speed we need is from dummy half, and at half back. The players in those positions are too slow, that's a big reason why we are struggling to create anything other than Ashurst crashing over now and again. TJ was a different animal to Murphy say, he could break the line from his own half, then his pace and agility would take over, he didn't really need space to be created for him because he is a freak. Murphy showed he could finish acrobatically last year given the chances, this year if he had played every game so far, I doubt he would have more than 2 or 3 tries to his name. We have no threequarters who can create something out of nothing, and the players inside aren't creating any half-chances hardly either, so it's no surprise we can't score!
The only longshot we have is if Gale and then Jowitt can create overlaps, and then if the wingers can take those chances, if they can't, but if we are creating, then I would agree with you that we need faster wingers!!
