Is it about sending badly injured players to A&E instead of having adequate insurance to go private?

| Surely those that believe him to be the messiah would expect him to heal the injured without the need for A&E.

There is no private cover that would replace A&E.
If you've broken your leg, you go to A&E.
When you need an op, you go private.

Ashurst? Doesn't seem too serious as he's expected to be conention to play next week. May be wrong but aren't insurance jobs appointments only and are unlikely to ge open at 10pm?

| He dislocated and broke his finger.
If it was me I'd be on my death bed for weeks but he looks like they will put it back and strap it up. And take pain killers.
But personally I think he can miss the cup game.

Can just imagine an ambulance with a player with a broken leg rocking up to the spire or Nuffield

| Sounds rather ridiculous and drastic, but if I was Ashurst I'd take the lads to one side and tell them to ignore any "plan" ( if there was one) that they'd been instructed to work to by Mash, and instead go out and play there own "natural" game in much the way that kids do. I'm sure we'd get a more entertaining spectacle and maybe even win a game. We couldn't do any worse than 0/12.
At least in that dreadful James Webster era there was an end motive to his apparent madness ie to in effect forfeit games in order to concentrate on the final play offs, and it paid off. Can't see this season ending in a similar manner.

Don't be stupid. No one forfeited any games.

| Stupid? Moi?? At least I'm living in the real world PT. If you look again you will see i used the phrase "in effect". It was pretty clear at the time that Webster's main aim was to take the gamble that we would be successful in the (relegation) play offs and hence, hopefully, survive in SL and that's where his attention was focused. Subsequently our league game performances suffered. Look at the results that season. Perhaps you were on holiday at the time or elsewhere in your make believe world.

I was watching, same as every other season, but even though you imply you didn't mean it you still say he did it.
He was poor and should not have been head coach but he didn't throw games and neither did the players.

| Come off it. you may think that I'm stupid, but I'm not stupid enough to state that Webster threw games, Of course he didn't, but his apparent laid back attitude to coaching and the far below par team performances during that period appeared to be acceptable and all would come good in the play offs.
