I bet there are several players out there, where thier respective clubs would allow them to move on for no fee at all - I'd rather we acquired one of those than lose the biggest asset at the club for a out of favour utility player.

Simply said in the short term it makes more sense than keeping a player where we have 4 options to cover 2 positions than going with 1 specialist fullback, especially when the player leaving may not want to be here.
