No, but I think I'm ok in saying we have already hit double figures. So at a minimum of £500 thats 5k bagged, not bad for 24 hours.
Of course getting people to apply and actually pay are not always the same thing, so I personally remain cautiously optimistic.
PS, in case you're worried, I only see the number of returns as part of my administering the workflow, I can't see the details or the amounts as I've locked myself out of that bit and would need JM's permission to get back in, so you're safe from me

| I hear John Minnards is attending the RWB Facebook group breakfast tomorrow morning. The meet is really linked to the renewal of the FB group's sponsorship of Jai Whitbread but I reckon John will be fielding questions relating to the share purchase. There have been initial queries as to whether the FB group could actually put together a purchase.

Sure 50k investors would be lovely so you're right there, but tbh it's the lesser of the two at the moment, as in truth it's hardly likely that a 50k investor will just appear and sign up online and certainly not before the 1st of Jan, it's more of a slow burner, or to put it another way the club are alerting people to the possibility
Fair play. I misread it. Not that I was being dismissive of the desire to get smaller investors. I just saw it as saying to big money, "get on board, get us Grade A, and we can become a big club together", with the smaller investors creating a buzz.
There are no negatives for this though. More money, better engagement. I worry that £500 is a lot for the rugby league demographic, particularly near Christmas and a panic about fuel prices, but the price has to reflect the cost of administering it, I presume. Administering 300 £500 shares is probably cheaper than administering 1,000 £100 shares.
Anyway, what do I know? It's a great scheme, I hope it brings in the funds we need, and I hope we start to pique the interest of local big money who want to spend it on a sporting hobby when we get Grade A!

It’s not that you were wrong, you just weren’t totally right
The way I see it is that money follows money but it also follows the feel good factor. Someone with 50k to invest will hopefully be more likely to give it a go if they see lots of average punters investing £500. It’s all about giving people the feeling they are joining in something on the up rather than a train wreck.
Biggest problem with Trinity over the last 40 years is the perception, mostly correctly, that we are a loser club. The worst people for doing that I’m afraid to say are some of the fans and not just the perpetual moaners but some really dedicated ones.
We need to alter that and one of the best ways imho is to give people a vested interest. It’s a bit like the ex council house owner who once they buy the house puts on a new front door. It’s pride if ownership.
Won’t apply to all fans by any means but for those it does it seems foolish to ignore their support.
Anyway sermon over now buy some shares

| This is an intriguing and sensible idea.
I remember us (Hull KR) doing a "marquee player fund raiser" at the end of 2019 for the start of the 2020 season. Just before covid. It was fans only initiated with an "initial" target of 100k, it raised about 7.5k which fell flat on its face .
Wakefields proposal sounds a lot more bang for your buck though to be honest and if you've done 5k in 24hrs that's actually very promising, genuinely hope it goes well as the sport needs lifting in general with stronger clubs all round and let's face it the whole comp needs to bridge the top to the rest.
I do kinda shudder to think where Hull Kr were 3 years ago to where our plans are moving forward from our news yesterday, lightyears apart.

Thanks for that.
Two thing, I can’t confirm those ten application but I’m pretty sure, I’m certain of at least one as that’s me
Also at present that are just applications not hard cash so early days.
Sorry make that three. The club couldn’t in many respect have picked a worse time to launch this considering the economic climate, yet overall it had to be now with so much positive development going on. It will be difficult for people, even for those like myself for whom £500 is usually an amount of money easier to find than at present. So I’m hoping personally that as things hopefully improve more people will eventually join what is a fairly open ended scheme.

I sent my application this morning, and received acknowledgment email from something called Jotform. Is this a company acting on behalf of Trinity, or are Trinity doing their own administration. One has to be careful these days with online money transactions.

Jotform I believe is a site to submit papers applications etc. I had to do one recently for some work I did. The form for me was about HMRC there were no issues and may tax was deducted correctly

| I checked on Jotform.
They encrypt the data you put in your form. So it's secure in transit.
They use a payment provider, like World pay or PayPal, so they don't store your payment details
And they are PCI compliant which means they are audited and approved to handle sensitive data.
So it looks like JM has chosen a reputable way of doing this.....as you'd expect for someone in his line of work I guess.

Thanks PopTart and RW&B for the information, I also just received an email from someone called John, saying thank you, all legit, never doubted MC or JM, I’m sure it’s information others on here will appreciate and feel confident about the whole share scheme.

| A lot of people weee interested in a “buy a brick” for the new stand and vented frustration when it sounded like there wasn’t one.
This scheme is almost the same sort of thing but with some better benefits, hope they take it up

I would have had the same questions so glad you asked them so I could check them out before clicking on it.

| Sounds really good.
I will be investing at least £500, possibly may stretch to the £1000.
Excited to be involved further into the club tbh.
Up the Trin.

Do it on-line!!!
I can't see names or amounts but it's a real buzz seeing the numbers of applicants increase, I feel like Terry Wogan doing 'Clubs in need'
