| Quote: marc271841 "How do you know we haven't offered him a contract are you 100% certain that, that is the case? Because if not this sounds like a "what if" to me.
My point has never been that he's better than this player or that. My point is that this presents Leeds with an opportunity to look at an up and coming player currently on our books that me may / may not retain. Irrespective of his contract situation with us - the loan could potentially sway Leeds to offer him a contract. So there is an element of risk with the loan deal in my opinion.'"
There is already that risk with or without the loan.
I do not know if he’s been offered a contract but I’m pretty sure in my previous post I already said that we may have but there may be a disagreement between club and player on value. For whatever reason the fact remains that he is free to talk to who he want to.
If it sways Leeds to offer a contract then so what. We will offer a contract we think he’s worth and so will Leeds (which they can do with or without this loan). Should Trinity or Leeds wish to revise their offer based on his performances on loan they are free to do so. Aydin will do what’s best for Aydin.
There’s honestly no drama in this move.

But the risk becomes greater with the loan. It's only applicable to Leeds and no one else. But Leeds get a chance to see if they like him or not and Aydin gets the chance to impress in training. Prior to his contact running out. Without the loan neither of these scenarios happen. You ever not taken a car for a test drive?
He could flop and in 3 weeks we can have a giggle about this thread. But can you accept there's a chance he might do well and consequently Leeds will offer him a deal off the back of it?

So you want to keep him hidden away so he can't get a contract next season? Nice.

If your using a car as an example then we’ve had that car parked up in our car park for the last few years. We’ve had plenty of time to inspect and purchase it but for whatever reason haven’t.
We can also just let it sit in the parking lot and rot or get some money renting it out.
I don’t see much risk because I don’t value Aydin contributions to the squad as that high. I would much rather us invest in Eseh and possibly Shaw.

Leeds have been shopping round this week for some emergency cover. Aydin is the best we could offer and of acceptable experience and quality for Leeds at this moment in time. This is the reason he is now on loan. Anything else is pointless conjecture.
Helping Leeds helps Wakefield Trinity at this moment in time.
I rest my case.

OK let's keep this really simple.
Do you 100% believe that Leeds will not use this loan to take a good detailed look at this player? Do you honestly believe there is no element of try before you buy involved in this?
Even if 1% of you believes otherwise then you accept there is an element of risk associated with the loan.

I don't care why he's on loan.
See my earlier question.
Is there absolutely no risk involved in the loan? My original post was that there is an element around the loan that makes me nervous. You've said nothing to convince me that Leeds will be not using this as an opportunity to assess if the player is a good option for next year.

I don’t care because I don’t value Aydin as an indispensable member of the squad. Of course Leeds will have a look as will we, but I’ve already answered this multiple times on what may or may not happen and now I’m bored.
Why your nervous I have no idea. Should Aydin leave or we not offer him a contract it’s a drop in the ocean and won’t be a big loss.
It’s just guessing scenarios now when in reality it’s a two week loan that benefits all parties in some way. That’s all there is too it. Just wait and see what happens.

Why you couldn't have accepted that Leeds will be taking a look from the off is completely beyond me.
As I have previously said it may well come to nothing. Let's see eh..

Why would I need to accept something that quite frankly is just common sense. How could Leeds not look at him when he’s training with and playing for them on loan, and if you actually read my previous posts you’d have noticed I had acknowledged that. The two go hand in hand. If it makes you feel better feel better then crack on.
The only time I’ll be bothered is if trinity sign him. If we don’t he can go where he likes and I won’t bat an eyelid. Have a good night.

But yet you claim in your posts that there is nothing in the loan and we have / haven't offered contracts and there was nothing but wins all round. I'm not sure if it really was that obvious otherwise you wouldn't have got yourself into such a tizz. Maybe have a glass of wine eh?

| I think Leeds will be lucky to get two points regardless of loan when you look at who is missing. Austin . Sezar. Prior. Tetavano. Newman. Leeming and maybe Hardaker. Toulouse will be rubbing their hands i think.

| We are also playing a team not at full strength so we should be able to use this to our advantage, plus we will know the Toulouse score.

I reckon we also like every team in the competition, including Saints, are currently putting out a weakened side.
