But for me, the players we have are good enough and not performing. That is either coaching tactics or individual players.
We've seen them play better.'"
Are they good enough though? The occasional good performance yes but the VAST majority of the time they have been proven on the whole not to be, thats why we keep being around the bottom just about scraping enough wins every year.
For me we have 6 'crown jewels', players who most other teams would like -
TJ
Fifita
Lino
Miller
Tanginoa
Lyne
We then have a handful of players who are either 'good for us' players generally in their mid twenties and have been here a while or promising youngsters. Guys like Jowitt & Batchelor spring to mind for the first category, Murphy, Hall & Aydin for the second. There's probably a couple of others but it's not a huge list.
Sadly for me most of the rest are either rapidly sliding down the wrong side of the age mountain or not really up to superleague standard. My worry is our luck will run out eventually, and if Toulouse get a roll on with their upcoming run of home games we are in deep trouble. And years of mostly poor recruitment and poor use of budget will be to blame in my opinion.

So even if you are right, you've named our whole back line, who we've seen score some fantastic tries, yet they now can't score when we have repeat sets on the line.
Have they become bad signings or are they just not performing?

| The danger is that Toulouse are improving
They have come up from the Championship and have been acclimatising to the faster pace and higher intensity of Super League, they’ve got better week on week.
At the same time they have been on the lookout for players who will improve them, Corey Norman will make a huge difference to them when he starts playing, Ashall-Bott is an improvement on their previous Full Back and Daniel Alvaro is another very good addition.
They will continue to acclimatise and they’ll continue to recruit and that spells danger for us.

| They are performing exactly to the same standard and style we have for the majority of games over the last four seasons. We have changed some of the players and coaches but the latter in the majority of cases have been from within.

They can’t do it all themselves. The problem is only 3 of those players mentioned have been signed in the last 3 years. Recent recruitment has been both poor and incredibly wasteful. Players have arrived that haven’t been any better than those who they replace and have taken up too much of the budget, signings have been made for signings sake and contracts have been extended for longer than they should have. That is not the players fault, it’s that of both the coaching staff and club management.

| The current regime could finally succeed in relegating the club from SL. We have been close many times but we have survived, this time I fear that this outcome is inevitable. We have relied on other club’s failing whilst we bump along with minimum expenditure and more shirt fillers signed on the cheap. The squad is now full of so many of these there is little we can do which will change things on the field.
I don’t expect any comment from the club regarding how the failures are to be addressed because they never have before.

| Think some of the criticism of MC is unfair people need to remember he saved us from extinction.do we really want him to spend money we dont have and face liquidation again. Yes he made mistakes ie last year letting cc waste what momey we had due to believing he was here this year.but dont we all make mistakes.it is what it is it pains me to say we are getting relegated (it kills me as i love the club and some i love more could well and truley be affected)but it is what it is

Do you think if the chairman of Liverpool started buying 2nd rate players and not investing in the club he would still be chairman or do you think that someone with the right skillset and ability would be brought in to enable this to happen.'"
What division are they in?

They do, we had one. Sadly his and his assistant made some poor calls, and their mathematics didn’t stack up.

| I don't think turning on MC is the answer.
Yes, things are a mess right now, but we do still have time … let's just see what happens over the next few weeks.

TJ - totally agree although would like to see him on the pitch more!
Fifita - agree but we rely on him far too much
Lino - needs consistency
Miller - possesses all the skills, but frustrates me many a time not backing himself. If current rumours are true and he goes to Cas I bet you'll see a different Miller.
Tanginoa - a shadow of the huge potential he had. Very ordinary for me now.
Lyne - sorry but how does he get in the England squad? His defence is very good but I don't see the attacking flair often enough from him to make him one of our jewels let alone be an international squad member.
After that some very promising youngsters, who should be led by senior players but that bit isn't happening.
That's either coaching, the players aren't following the game plan OR they simply aren't good enough any more.

| If you dont have the money to buy the best players, which we dont. Then you need to invest in a very good coach to get the absolute best from what you have. One with structure and a well drilled playbook of moves that even average players can perfect.
When Chester went, the option was there to go out and secure someone, but we chose to bring in no new ideas so we are still on the same downward spiral that we were on before only now the bottom is much nearer than it was.

| Cannot agree with that boot being put into Carter, he and the other Directors do a cracking job of the day to day running of the club in the face of issues that other administrators don’t even have nightmares about.
The current situation on the field is exactly where I see the issue.
The tail has been wagging the dog for a while now and I personally believe it needed a strong personality to come in and take control of the club from the coaching side.
This doesn’t mean I think Willie is a poor coach, I don’t, but he comes across as a very laid back bloke and I’m not sure that is what the team needed at the point in time.
I’m still of the opinion we can survive however there needs to be some changes at all levels, not necessarily in personnel but mind set and attitude.
I think we have gone a little bit soft as a club and we need to toughen up and that starts at the top.
I’m confident IF we can stay up for the next 2 years this club can move up the table, but these next 2 seasons in my opinion are probably amongst the biggest in the clubs history.
As supporters we are obviously entitled to voice our opinions but I dearly hope most importantly we try to stay positive and stay loyal. It’s tough however the last thing we need is our support to fall away further.
If the “Together we are stronger” tag line was ever appropriate it’s now.

Miller Will flourish at Cas with a decent pack around him
Fafita on his day quality but his day is few and far between
Tanginoa Same as above
Lino Average at best
Lyne shows nothing going forward
