Well, it's alright saying Huddersfield fans are coming, the government have named Kirklees with/in restrictions - no one out & no one in
Due to indian covid, this being advice as it's spreading dramatically ?
So Wakey is in the national top 10 covid - Kent variation !
You pays your money & takes your risk, I asked earlier on this post & it was put down ! But, if this runs after in wakey, don't winge !
Covid does not discriminate or reserve itself !

Quote: Trojan Horse "I can’t see that the number of fans would be brought down to 2800.

There was some decent space between fans, everyone was wearing their masks and as is said before it’s mostly open aired.

The government guidelines clearly state what we are allowed and I can’t see any reason we should be subjected to harsher restrictions than those imposed by the government.

I would also hope that if this visit took place that this has been the case across all rugby league and sporting venues across sports by local council officials. Because if it hasn’t then one has to question why Wakefield would be subjected to this visit and not other venues. Sounds a bit underhanded to me.'"

Not up at the back of the North stand they weren't!

The south end of the East stand looked less than spacious from where I was.

The 50% of capacity up to 4000 is a guide, a nice headline but not an actual figure so it can be less but definitely not over 50% or over 4000

Should (or maybe that's Shudd) fans be coming from Covid riddled Kirklees to BV on Sunday ?

Having just started to come out of almost 6 months "lockdown", it seems ludicrous to have people coming from that particular area "just" to watch a game of RL.
I realise that many of their fans wont live in the Kirklees area but, this is madness.

I never said that there was.
However, the ADVICE is for people in Kirklees not to travel outside of that area for non essential purposes.

It states "minimum travel" and does not mention "non essential" travel.

most huddersfield fans live in HUDDERSFIELD the affected areas are the ones nearer wakefield anyway like dewsbury so theres as much chance of it spreading to wakefield as its closer than huddersfield to the outbreak, kirklees is a stupid name as it covers 4 or 5 towns and not just one area, huddersfield is a different place altogether than dewsbury which as been pointed out already is nearer wakefield and has a wakefield postcode so by that sense wakefields at as much risk than huddersfield you'd think

Dont have a pop at me, it's not my doing.
The advice offered is as clear as mud.

What does "minimising travel" actually mean.
Should you travel to and from work, for leisure, to see family/friends ??

As for most Huddersfield fans living in Huddersfield, really ?
How about Mirfield. I know a coule of lads who will be coming from there, which, lets face it, is 30% of your travelling "army".
Thankfully, neither of them own a cow bell and they're good company too.
