131 I have stated that MC saved the club and provided a level of funding that saw the club develop but things have gone stagnent and not moved on to the next level
. I take it you know the clubs finances to be able to state moneys not available. MC seems to think he's taken the club as far as he can and if that's the case so be it.
Wollo
Its up to the club to look at raising funds. accountants in general tend to look at a figure and work around it or cut the cloth accordinly( survival).

Quote: PopTart "By all means moan about Chester if that's your style but nothing about that loss was because of Chester.'"

I just can`t get my head around this comment what so ever PT, you are either completely deluded or have zero clue on this what so ever, or maybe didn`t watch the game?

Whilst there were a couple of bad referee calls granted, The game last night for me was a classic chess match of coaching... There was a clear game plan from Leeds to play the basics, every man and his dog could see that. We started playing one man up into to the back of the ruck and they had a man pressing up every time with a man on the inside after the first set, we failed to change that tactic other than a couple runs from Westerman and Tanginoa then went straight back to it, it didn`t work, we got dominated every tackle, they won the ruck and won the field position, switching up every other play and running a couple of different lines may have helped us out a bit, hell maybe even throw some basic shift plays on.

When things got tough, the pressure ramped up and errors started creeping in for both sides, you could see the call sent down from Agar because they went back to basics once again, stopped forcing silly passes, put some depth in there line which they had lacked over the game, played with the first man and sometimes second man off as dummy runner and that`s all they needed to do to gain that advantage back again, other coaches will pick up a couple of swings in that game on the video tape and do exactly the same. Our answer to that should of been talked about all week, how we are resilient, how we adapt during a game, which set plays we go to, which structure we go to well it turns out PT we seemed to have nothing? Our answer was to throw some very silly wild passes, to pass the ball to Lyne to run around like a headless chicken hoping we could find some space - As much as that is players making some silly decisions, were is the structure? Where are the ideas? Where is the resilience? Where is the game plan?

I will give us some credit, I thought our scramble defence was good, but I thought Leeds chose the wrong option time after time on our line throughout.

People can talk about the last call, but we should not have been in that position to let 1 ref call influence the result.

On top of everything this morning I was told Jowitt was not to be offered a new deal for next year which I really hope isn`t true, he does a job wherever he is asked to play, not too sure what the lad does wrong but we would rather persist with picking the wrong option time after time.

Quote: Khlav Kalash "For me statistics from season's past are gone. We are where we are now. 0/6 (0/7 inxluding tge cup defeat) isn't good however you look at it. The frustrating thing is had we even an ounce of structure, composure or game plan we should be 4/6. Our own inability with the ball means the mistakes and individual errors we have in us really hurt.

Last night a better team than Leeds would've put a cricket score on us. We gave up too much ball, too much territory and a combination of excellent defence and awful attack reduced them to two scores.'"

I agree, but if you're going to use past season's data to back up an argument then you need to make it as fair and relevant as possible.

We are at the brink of a disastrous season. For me, Chester has 6 more games to show a significant turnaround otherwise he has to go. We still cannot afford to be relegated. The fact that you state that we could have been 4/6 suggests that the problem is perhaps solvable. If we were getting beat by 40 points every week then the problem would be insurmountable.
The clock is ticking for Chester and as each week passes without a win, it gets louder.

Anyway, a nice graph of wins under Chester, which emphasises the current problem.

flat-lining on wins.

Quote: Travelling Wilbury "I think last night his body language says it all. He does need to go, I think for his own health and maybe even sanity.

Can't knock the effort and commitment, but make no mistake here, Leeds were awful, and were there for the taking. It was our own mistakes that cost us.

I don't know who, but we need a strict coach, with a stricter regime, with his own conditioners etc, but to be allowed to do things his way. Any players who don't want to pull rank, and be in the trenches, need to be shown the door. As somebody mentioned a few days ago, isn't it the record number of players off contract later this year.

Can honestly say at the moment, I'm very disappointed with our overseas players overall.'"

Must admit, as a non wakey fan, I nearly posted a week or 2 ago after a game that you should let him go, for his own sanity, his body language was terrible (not a criticism) he was slumped forward on the bench and after a mistake, his reaction was like something from a comedy film. Dramatic and tbh unprofessional.

I cant see him fixing this for you guys, even if you get a win, its weighing heavy on him as a person, do the right thing, put him out of his misery

His aftermatch interview reminded me of the one last year when we beat the Farts, last year he looked very emotional but it was with relief, this time it look like resignation. I said it before, it appears from the outside that even he doesn't think he'll turn it around. When things stop being fun it's time for a change. I feel Chester himself is at this point.

Possibly, but with 13 games after that, with the only target not to finish bottom, it should be enough.
Yet another wasted season but until we can increase finances, we cannot expect to increase success.
By significant turnaround I mean it can't wait until round 12 for a win, in fact, if we lose the next 2 games it would probably be time to pull the trigger. We need to have 2 or 3 wins by round 12 and I can't see us getting much from Warrington, Cas or Wigan.
The next problem could be that of finding a better coach who is willing to come to the club mid-season.

I agree Coco, in our next 3 we play; Hull KR, Hudds and Leigh, if we are still without a win after that then there is no doubt in my mind Chester just has to go.

I agree with a few other posters, Chris looked shocking during and after the match. The last time I can remember someone looking that bad was Steadman when Trin slammed Cas at the Jungle.

Regardless of the state of the team, relegation etc someone needs to make a decision and get him out of the firing line for his own good.

I have no idea what the clubs finances are , but I know the pathetic number that follow the club and buy ST's.
It doesn't take much to work out that we don't have the funds of the vast majority of other SL clubs. to splash out on players.
I want the same as you, but what we need is a big backer, because without one, I think we're always going to be 'cutting the cloth accordingly'.
We've rode our luck in previous seasons but I feel lady luck is not with us this season!

That's a good question - perhaps there was going to be a sponsor for that - similar to when Wally Lewis came?
