Trinity definitely have the forwards that can do the job and some backs capable of finishing any chances.
Where we are lacking is in the halves and their old man (Maguire) is in better form than ours.

We have a decent record against KR and although they have improved since Smith came on board, they aren't world beaters.

I think I misunderstood your post! I thought you meant we held them out on our try line often, but you meant our defensive line in general? On that I would agree, but they made so many errors, they didn't build any pressure, they must have only completed at around 60% maybe, but still won comfortably........so it doesn't say a lot for us does it?! Even Chester said we had enough ball to win 2 games. I think we need to improve quite a bit to win on Sunday, but we will see......

I do agree.
I like to think we had something to do with the lost ball by actually being involved in the tackle or at least close enough to scare them in some way but yes many times it was down to Hull. I said to my brother that the team that wins would be the one who stops making errors first. When they had their little spell of tries I turned and said, yep, it's Hull.

All I'm saying really is that we have improved, but not to the level we need to yet. The breakaway try with the 35 missed tackles tells us that.

And 34 of those missed tackles all came during that Ratu Naulago 80 yarder!

You have to attempt a tackle to miss it, I think you give our players far to much credit.

It's that lack of pride they seem to have in themselves that sums us up at the moment and they need to rediscover it ASAP.

The Leeds result was good for us, as it means they have something to play for against London in the next game. Silver lining and all that, because that is my main worry about Sunday if we lose (and if Leeds had won last night), that London would have two games against teams just cruising to their holidays.

And miraculously your 5 best players were injured for just the 1 week ? You really are very naive if you believe that. Don`t blame him one bit, it is the smart thing to do IMO.

I suppose you could look at it that way, but we have been relying on other teams results for far too long to keep us where we are now.
The problem is, we are in a deep run of very poor results and we have only 4 matches to save our skin.
Unless there is a big upturn in form this weekend i have a feeling that it is going down to the last game of the season, against London at Belle Vue.
As we all know, London overturned the odds last season to beat a team in their last match,Toronto Wolfpack, on their own soil who were red hot favourites to come up to SL.
Let's just hope this weekend gets us that win that will, i think, get us over the line and keep our SL status.
