Correct, I said this month ago. It’s a million miles from what we were promised and is imo criminal. However this is a salvage operation now and frankly I can’t see any other way.

| Very nice to see that WMDC have wiped out a million pound debt (our money, remember), owed by the owners of the Welbeck reclamation site. That money would have been halfway to fulfilling the two million pound that Box & Co Ltd. pledged to the building of Newmarket stadium, was it not?
I thought the Council were there to carry out the wishes of the majority of the electorate. I'm sure those people would not wish to see their money squandered in this way.

I’m sure MC and the club would have a watertight contract that we are anchor tenants on good terms so we won’t be another Coventry or Darlington. We don’t know what plans are in place anyway.

| Quote: Sacred Cow "I doubt Rodders wants Trinity at all, but right now they are a necessary evil to engineer the position needed. You would have to be pretty naive to believe that the football club is going to rock up at BV with an arm full of grant funding to develop the place and not want to be more than tenants. You can bet ur bottom dollar that they will end up with a large part of the pie and it will be a case of take it or leave it.'" .
In that case I'd leave it.
They are the ones wanting a home so we dictate the terms, not them.
Or, they can always go and seek help from Wakefield Council to get a ground of their own......

| I’m a little uncomfortable with what I’m reading at the moment. The community stadium now seems to be a community stand - not in the hands of a trust but in the hands of the club.
Anyone want to tell me I’m wrong?

Why would that make you uncomfortable? Have the trust given any concerns? As far as I can see the liability of the loan is on the club and not the trust is why wouldn't it be it the clubs hands?
All being well the East Stand is the first part of a new stadium (spread over many years if it were to come off I suspect) and even in a full new build only the main stand would be kitted out to support non-match day activities.
We don't half know how to spin semi positive news into a negative.

If you look at TRB’s twitter account then the trust are very much concerned. In fact it sounds they are quite upset with the situation.

| Negativet again, Mr Carter as put a lot of hard work into this club and turned it round so leave it to them in the no.Now we have got some fresh players in more interesting to find out if the bad losing streak was down to injuries, or bad coaches that have just been backed by the best owners the club have ever had

I was told a few weeks ago that plans for the redevelopment had already been drawn up. The intention was to erect a temporary stand on the West terrace and using seats from the east stand. The East stand to be demolished around May next season and work starting on the new East stand immediately, for completion at the start of 2021 season. I have not posted this before now because although the information came from a reliable source, I didn’t want to raise fans expectations. I hope now with the consultation being offered for the East Stand there’s some hope of information being released by the club/trust. We all live in hope.

What’s the other option? Not knocking the Trust by the way, they’ve have done an excellent job over the last decade or so and we all appreciate that work. Had an email today saying the supporters trust was ending at end of the month is this anything to do with the way the stadium development is going.

Got told a few weeks ago we’d have good stadium news announced shortly but no details on what it was. After all the false dawns it’s a case of believe it when I see it but I’m hoping.
