In all serious, if this £15 million loan is correct, much as I'd love to stop at BV it would be sensible now to agree on a suitable venue & sort out both clubs. I've just put my crash helmet on lol.'"
I have and never have had an issue with a ground share if the location was suitable, I think it makes a whole lot of sense. Remember in around 2010 when the Council called for us to ground share and they would finance it? Yet Mr Richardson told them where to stick it and went down the route Newmarket route, would we be playing out of a new ground now if we had gone the other route? Who knows... I think the fear upon many fans is they think that this is the first step towards a merger of the two clubs.

Agreed but, IF a ground had a genuine 50/50 split in usage and 50/50 in other areas (including a "neutral" location) it would make plenty of sense.
When ever a shared ground has been muted before, one side or other would have been seriously disadvantaged, which would make any ground share unworkable and just for balance, what about Fev ??

We have to put ourselves first, especially if they’re still in the process of being lead on by promises made by the developers. If they’re being told to keep their powder dry & wait for a multimillion pound gift, they’ll keep on waiting. We know that all too well.
Chances are until the hear news from their developer (with a definitive no), they’ll have no interest in a shared stadium & would think that engaging in talks would weaken their position in the eyes of super league big wigs.

| The stand at Millmoor is ideal for any club looking to recycle a stand. Relatively new and modular. Might be a little on the large side to fit on the footprint of BV though. There also was the stand at the old Darlington ground which looked smart too.

Glanford Park would be exactly what we need. Those pictures don’t do it justice.

| It might be pure coincidence and I’m not as clued up on twitter as others but there’s a company called stadium solutions limited. If I’m not mistaken they did the new Salford city ground. They’re being followed by manni but also follow the ST and the club itself. There might be nothing in it and I don’t know how long each have been following but they do some decent little stands etc

| Mobile rocket twitter also reporting big things coming soon. Probably an extended sponsorship deal rather than new stadium but we live in hope.

| hi everybody and this is my first post.
after reading this topic from the start it seems there may be a possible breakthrough re- the stadium upgrade/new stadium.i will take this with a pinch of salt until something definite is confirmed, as will most people on here I should imagine.

| Sorry,last post sent too soon.(explains why I don't normally post)
When I got to the last 2or3 pages I started wondering if some people had taken leave of their senses! Talk of ground sharing when we are possibly near to a breakthrough and the Cas scheme tottering on the brink is madness as far as I am concerned. If both schemes come to nothing we may eventually have to bite the bullet and consider it, but certainly not at this moment in time.
Harking back to possible ways of funding our plans, where I think it was mentioned by someone as possibly us paying off the loan by using the ground rental money, shouldn't it be paid by Yorkcourt.

Welcome old boy, we don't really know what is going on behind closed doors and what the conditions of any offer on the table is (if there is any legs in the rumour) if at this point the council was to front the initial cost of the build as has been suggested and the condition was that the ground was for use for both clubs I think we would be silly to turn that down at this stage but that's just my opinion. Of course I would rather we did not have to share our ground.
Another point Newmarket and all the other avenues the council have gone down are community stadium builds for the Wakefield district we are talking about and always has been, Therefore there would be nothing concrete in the whole situation to say that Cas could not also come on board as a joint tenant, I imagine if the council was to front the cost of a redeveloped belle vue and also buy the plot itself then that would be no different.

| I’ve no idea where these latest rumours have come from, mischief makers possibly, but didn’t MC suggest to the council a while since that WMDC took out a loan for a new ground, we paid the interest whilst WMDC chased Yorkcourt for the £15M?

Yes I remember that, but nothing came of it then and nothing's changed - has it?

A major obstacle to an amicable agreement has recently been removed. It's not mischief making, it's the BV revamp is closer to being a reality than at any time in the last decade at least.

You need to keep off that Cas forum, you'll be getting as paranoid as them.
Regarding any forthcoming announcements, I'm sure there's no smoke without fire, but the £15M seems a bit of a red herring.
