I think Randell and Wood are different styles of hookers and both provide a good balance to our game depending on the ebb and flow of the match.

I'm still struggling with your 'there were better options available at the time' comment and trying to work out who they were????

There is just no pleasing some people. As I said previously anyone with any sort of understanding of the game can see the qualities that Randell brings to the team whilst on the pitch.

Seems to stick out for me as a boo boy. May have slowed down a bit this year but there's still people having a dig at him, including in the ground.

Why do you call him Tyke? I've never seen anyone else refer to him as this and as far as I know he is not from Yorkshire.

Maybe, I just don't see it myself. Big Dave makes sense, he is big and Dave is short for David.

I always thought of Tyke as a nickname for us Yorkshire lot. Since Randell doesn't fit that group it struck me as odd. Maybe "Rands" or"Dell" would be good?

Given the injuries he has suffered, since came here, both serious ligament injuries to both ankle and knee, it is hardly surprising that he has lost a yard of pace.

I don't know if anyone on here has suffered ligament injuries. I, in the past have also suffered knee and ankle ligament injuries. Some say they can be as bad as a break. It took my a long time to regain full mobility around the ankle joint, following my ankle injury last year.

Wasn't it a knee ligament injury that sidelined TJ last year, and some thought that when he came back he had lost a bit of his sharpness.

I was under the impression ligament damage was worse than a break since it takes longer to heal. When I damaged my ankle in my 20s playing football it was more than a year before I could play again and that was only Sunday league.

Sort Trinity18... Tyke will never catch on. You might as well call him a Cornish Pasty or a Hot pot.
