| So then how does the 17 shape up?
1. Jowitt
2. Johnstone
3. Bully Tupou
4. Lyne
5. Jones-Bishop
6. Milky
7. Rocky
8. England
9. Randell
10. Huby
11. Ashurst
12. Batchelor
13. Arona
Bench:
Chris Annakin
Keegan Hirst
Pauli Pauli
Kyle Wood
So Baldwinson and Arundel miss out for me... although I like Arundel's defence Lyne is in fine form.

This could be huge for Hampshire and if he can show Cas what they are missing then, maybe, just maybe we have a chance ?'"
This is interesting and I approve. Thought Rocky was great vs Leeds. Looking forward to the game on Friday. I don't think we will win but as someone said earlier, we play exciting rugby - and with Hampshire and Jowitt in the spine - we've got a youthful side with plenty of attacking flair. Hopefully it is a dry track as well.
Also, happy for Pauli Pauli to come back in. Hopefully he has been working hard in training and he's a little bit fitter and chomping at the bit to prove the doubters wrong. There is definitely great potential there if he has the correct mentality.

Dangerous for the coach to be picking the side based on the fans' choice though
I do agree that Hampshire has much more spark around the ruck and although Finn has a hand/finger injury, our attacking options at Salford, coupled with the numerous errors, were bloody awful.
Again, when Salford had ball in hand, they seemed to have the next "move" sorted in a flash, whereas, most of the time we were flat (both literally and in enthusiasm).
Also, didn't notice at first that Kirmond is also "missing" from this weeks 19.
Kirmo, Grix and Finn would be regarded as our most senior players and someone is going to have to take charge and captain the side.
I presume this will be Miller but, it could give Chester a chance to pass the arm band onto Ashurst or Hirst ?

Another vocal guy missing in Horo. Looking like Ashurst will be the man they all look to.

I wonder what the point in naming Miller as a vice captain was then. Must just be a fancy name to keep him happy...

| Absolutely no idea how this game will pan out.... Both coming off the back of stinking performances, both a few senior players missing or not included..... Great opportunity for a lot of "fringe" players to grasp the nettle in both sides. Whoever starts sharpest could run away with it

Salford has been the driest track we've played on this season.

| Would honestly love to be proved wrong but I can see us getting a right spanking Friday, especially after watching that filth last week. I've lost alot of confidence in us after that loss, just cannot understand how you go toe to toe with st's, then dish that up the week after. What pee's me off the most is because we were losing by such small margins that I generally thought this is a team that doesn't give up a W easily and that we generally have a pretty strong team. All the Salford defeat has done is drag up all the old inconsistent Wakefield feelings from years gone by.
