Fair enough. I must have a dislike of Kirkpatrick burnt into my soul.
(Later that same day) I've just checked on You tube and it's Russell Smith for the Wigan game and Kirkpatrick for Hull.

| 2004? I think I may be getting confused, what was the game I am.thinking of then, Wigan away and Klein had an absolute stinker one of the worse ever seen. Could have sworn it was the play off game. Getting old memory is not what it was.

Think the Klein one was when Brian Noble was their coach and they were near the bottom fighting for their lives, signed Stuart Fielden too. Klein gave them absolutely everything that night. I keep all the games, should have it somewhere in my library of Trinity matches.

Was that the one where we were in with a chance and they blew the hooter with 2 or 3 minutes still showing on the clock???

| The play off game was when they didn't even bother going to the video ref for a Trinity try. The other match was when we were both near the bottom and it was the most blatant bias referring displays I've seen think it was the season cas went down.

| Was that the season that Radlinski came out of retirement and played for nowt to avoid the pies being over the salary cap and then it came out later that he had been 'paid'?
Or was that another dodgy Wigan season?

| You can find that match on YT by searching for "Wigan Wakefield July 2006".
Its the game where Korky got sin-binned for over aggressive displacement of the air next to Danny Orr. Jefferies was probably deserved to be honest, though Klein couldn't wait to stick the yellow card up. Finally to rub salt in there was Solomona getting roughed up (at the very least) but still conceding the penalty, just after we got our first try.... that will sort out any sniff of a comeback!
Cant decide if it was overshadowed by Klein's "performance" against Leeds at home (cant remember the year). Just glad he isn't over here any more.

As far as I remember Radlinski did indeed play for "free" till the seasons end, he was then paid the season after, under a new seasons salary cap. Very underhand, yes, morally wrong, yes but within the laws of the game? I assume so as there were no fines given out. Surprisingly enough.

| Musson, you say 2006 was the last year where points were docked the following season for salary cap breaches.
Wasn't the punishment handed to Salford handed out he following season

| Quite happy for you to discuss salary breaches and past games, but you can't throw accusations around like bribery on here.
I'd suggest that is pretty obvious.
Musson, you've been around long enough to know how this works. Don't do that. AUP is pretty clear.

| Klein was just an out and out bad referee, bad for everyone not just us. If you watch the youtube highlights of that game, as much as we never got into it with the sin bins, our garbage tackling / defence didn't keep us in it at all - that's before the joke shop try conceded in the second half. That's what really cost us the game.
Everyone remembers the calls that go against you. On the flip side, who remembers the "hand of god" try from the previous season's Wigan away match. Surprisingly enough, the Wigan fan putting the matches on YT didn't post that one
