Spot on, and Bentham gave the correct decision.

| It's a feat in itself to win a game with that buffoon Child refereeing, I make it 2 wins in around 15 with him in charge. He couldn't wait to ping us for anything to give Saints a leg up in our 20 hence they were back in it with those gifts. Well done to everyone tonight, I'm as pleased as punch we're off the mark. I don't think confidence has ever been an issue, it was just game management in the last game. We can all look forward now to next week.

| Thought we'd blown it but, what a gutsy effort, against all odds.
Child looked kike he was wearing his St Helens glasses in the second half but, at least he asked the VR to rule on a penalty try.
Fantastic to get our first 2 points of the season.
Superb effort from all 17 players, especially with the late change.
Well done boys

| If the win is a result of lessons learnt from our first 2 games, it augurs well for the rest of the season, just don't forget the lesson!
Great win lads & from a place where we rarely come back with the spoils

| 2 points from a possible 6 doesn't really reflect how well you played in all 3 games. You gave us (Hull) a real scare and by all accounts should have beaten the Giants. Delighted that your performance last night got the result it deserved. Onwards and upwards!!

| The big plus for us so far this season, is our defence, massively improved on the last few seasons.
If we continue to concede 16 points a game, we will win far more games than we lose.
Learning not to concede penalties on the back of errors is the main thing for us.
Still buzzing after the win !!!

I'll be happy with a few more rainy mud baths before "summer" rugby starts, not everyone is playing the conditions as well as Wakey are.
We'll see what happens when the ground stiffens up but for now the conditions have been more help than hindrance I reckon.

I actually think we are a more dry weather team so winning in the mud is a huge bonus for us.

| Good to see our outside backs looking for work and running it in, a bonus when conditions are like they have been.

| I know the conditions were pretty wet and boggy but I couldn't help but compare Thursday nights Cas game with the Saints game.
The difference was like night and day, the line speed Cas generated flicked Saints and Wakey in to a cocked hat, it can't all be the conditions and the quality of opposition.
Nice to see Scot Grix in the after match analysis, just when you think nobody knows wtf they're doing, he comes on TV and tells us.
I know they know what they're doing but sometimes you just need to hear them say it, its not the same as a pre match interview or midweek before the game chat about careers and team news, actual 1st hand game management is a part of the game we as fans are not privy to generally.

of course conditions play a major part in how a game of rugby is played! cas have been fortunate they have had better conditions allowing them free flowing rugby, if they played in those conditions last night or on the opening sunday then they wouldnt have had the opportunity to do as they have
