I think if you read the opening posts that's explained - no idea if it's correct though

If memory serves me correctly Ferguson said in an interview that he didn't want to leave and was sold by the administrator against his wishes.
Virtually the same thing happened with Murphy only Murphy refused to sign on at Huddersfield and stayed at Wakey until the end of that season. I think it was at that point that Ferguson had a "D'oh" moment when he realised that he could have kicked up a bigger stink about not wanting to leave.

Thanks for that Wildshot.

| Ferguson has been a bit more of an impact player for us recently. Doesn’t do long minutes. TBF he does make an impact but he’s only really lower SL quality.
Gaskell is quality – when fit. Trouble is he’s got a hamstring problem that has dogged him and they never really go. Clough is a great workhorse but he too has an injury doubt.
They took up a big slice of our budget and contributed naff all last season really. If you’re signing any of them a very thorough medical is required.

TBF when he joined us he'd was recovering from a jaw injury. Other than that he was playing well and was injury free the season before he joined us.
I don't know how true this hip replacement story is but whatever his mobility issue is it's happened this year as far as I can tell.

I think he's a class player and you can see his quality when he has played. The team certainly looked more threatening earlier on in the season when he was on the field, but he was hobbling about against Widnes so if it has happened with Trinity it must have been in pre-season.

Anthony Tupou is clearly a resilient individual who has had more than his fair share of serious injuries after reading these articles....
"The 31 year old – who previously returned from an ACL by having the achilles tendon of a dead man inserted into the region – is adamant the latest injury won't finish him.
"I feel I've still got more to give," Tupou told Fairfax Media."

Oh 100%, and his body will never let him get back to the beast that he once was. I more meant he was playing as well as we could have hoped/expected, and was adding some dynacism and spark to the team. "

That's a very nice piece about a player 18 months ago.
Unfortunately he's 18 months older and has been disappointing in his time with us.
You need more from your 'marquee' signing who takes up a quota spot, than 20-25 mins per game.
A club like Wakey can't afford that, Collis proved this.
