| Why do I senses a bit of deja-Vu or another round of Peter and the Wolf. I may be wrong but to depart Belle Vue would remove the restriction placed on the ground by the council. It would also give vacant possession making it easier to sell and leave us without a ground.
We could have done the basics to keep the ground tidy and undertake basic repairs but have chosen not to or if we have I have not noticed. We have however invested in some pallets to restrict access to the stands and a system to record bar codes but not much more.

| When asked on Twitter why we can't just stay at Belle Vue
Quote: "you can. Just needs someone mug enough to sign up to all the corporate responsibility liabilities. That person won't be me!'" Michael Carter
Why isn't it we? Question
Quote: "it can't be 'we can' because I cannot continue putting my neck on the line with belle vue in its current state'"
MC sounds really mad?

| His choice, but he'll not get his cash back when the club dies in Dewsbury/Featherstone.

| MC goes part way in the programme notes to doing, in my view, what should have been done ages ago; naming and shaming YCP for the conniving crooks that they are.
As it stands, they've been able to collude with WMDC to defraud HM Inspector, the people of Wakefield and the club, with little or no reputational or PR damage - because the negotiations have been conducted from the basis that upsetting them would scupper the whole thing. Now they've got the site up and running and making money, there's no reason for them to pony up, because WMDC have given them a precedent to develop further, without triggering the 106 agreement. They've comprehensively out-manoeuvred us, without any pressure in terms of legal challenge, media expose or public outcry.

| Is there nothing we can collectively do to assist in putting pressure on these parties that are clearly letting the club and its fans down?
The thought of the club possibly moving to Dewsbury is just awful. Surely we can't just let this happen.
I was feeling so positive in recent weeks but reading the comments from MC in the programme yesterday was depressing.

We keep being told that "now isn't the time" re putting pressure on YC or WMDC. Surely the "time" to put pressure by some means or other is near. Though I suspect it is now far too late.

| I just wonder how much leverage MC has to use. He did well last year to get us a deal but I wonder how far he can run with this. We have been royally tucked up and xx over by the council and the developer. We don't have the money to take them to court and they know it.
I'll trust MC with whatever decision he makes and it really looks like the RFL have forced a decision this time but you'd fear any move to ground share at Dewsbury is likely to be long term one.

| The council have allowed the developer to not comply with his obligations at Newmarket, without Newmarket we should move out of Wakefield no matter what happens at BV.
Yesterday was a typical example, sunny day, team in the CC semi final coming of the back of several wins over the last weeks, trying to achieve the previously impossible dream of a top 8 finish, of home gown talent in the team, playing Saints and still only about 3000 people from Wakefield bothered to turn up. Spending any money on BV would be a total waste. Lets move somewhere where the club and the team would be appreciated.

| In the League Express MC says he has been backed into a corner after being told by the RFL that Belle Vue will not be given dispensation as being fit for purpose for 2017 unless concrete plans are in place for developing the stadium.
He also says that talks with Dewsbury are well down the line and their stadium needs less spending on it to bring it up to super league standards and that its a no brainer. I just wonder if it happened who would pay for the improvements to the Dewsbury ground?
Surely the RFL know whose fault it is that you are in this situation and they should be helping you rather than backing you into a corner.

| It's a no brainer if your an accountant and not a supporter of the club in question. Seems like we're between a rock and a hard place. Move and watch the paltry attendances drop even further. Stay and get kick out due to poor condition of ground.
Can't say I'd want Trinity to fork out upgrading another clubs stadium.

I dont think we can blame the RFL on this one.
The club was aware that BV was not up to scratch and whilst it seems that unlike yourselves at Cas, the council will take no part in helping Trinity.
Most people are aware that Mr Box publicly denied that Newmarket had anything whatsoever to do with the council, despite thier obvious involvment in allowing the big white box to be built adjacent to the NM site.
Although things have been happening behind the scenes, it seems without the goodwill of WMDC, that will never happen and once again, professional RL in the City of Wakefield has come under threat and clearly, Wakefield Trinity is not valued by our ruling council.
We've had protests, involvement from the SoS, planning permission passed but between them, WMDC and Yorkcourt simply couldn't give a toss about the rugby club that was formed 144 years ago.

I'm assuming you did not mean the post to be racist. That is the only thing saving you from an outright ban.
I shouldn't have to quote the AUP. This is a question of what is acceptable in general use anywhere, never mind a forum.
I understand that phrases that used to be acceptable are no longer acceptable and can be misleading, but now, in this day and age, it is clearly offensive.
I've deleted all the post related to this one as many people quoted it. Good that it highlighted the issue. Not good that it just repeated the phrase.
Let's move on.
Poptart rule no.1 "If you are not sure if what you are about to write is offensive.........it probably is. Think of a better phrase."
