You do 'agree' with NGB4C a lot. You sure you aren't his alter ego?

| Maybe Chester is using Scruton how he should be used.
As has been mentioned, Scruton is a long minutes, one paced prop, who, if you leave him alone he will get on with the job.
When he is getting subbed after 20 mins, he is probably getting his second wind.

Quite happy for you to post thanks, it just allows me to counter your views with common sense HTH.

I do to be honest. Despite said user's obvious over-exaggerations when making a lot of points I do agree with quite a few of his comments on some players. Not all. Not sure what makes that a bad thing.

I haven't argued a single point about Scruton's defence, so what you're countering I have no idea. What I was talking about is how he carries the ball and how it slows us down.

I'm countering your criticism by emphasising his defensive contribution. Keep up, it's not that difficult.

You're comparing him with a version of himself that's never existed; he's not agile, quick or explosive - but he is steady, attritional and has good stamina.
That said, I do agree that his form of late hasn't been great - hopefully this purple patch will continue.

| A lack of form could be levelled at many of the team this season so why is it necessary to pick out just Scruton. I would say that all the squad's performances have improved so once again why pick out Scruton.

You've made up what I am arguing in your own head. I expect every player to make a defensive contribution. Scruton tackles fairly well. As do 90% of pro rugby players. His attack with ball in hand however leaves a lot to desired. Last I'll say on the matter.

I'm not because I know he isn't quick. But he doesn't beak out of a stroll and gets dominated far too much in the tackle. He's a prop froward and needs to get us on the front foot with the ball. Not sure why this gets shot down. He (and some other olayers) have failed to do this all too often.

| Admitted, even though I am not his biggest fan, he has played well in the last two games.
However, he had been garbage this year up to then.
He keeps his place in the team for now, but has to keep this intensity up.
Hopefully if Anderson gets back in, he can also up his performances a notch or too.
These last two wins have been built by all the forwards been dominant in the collision

| Players like Scruton suffer under the current conditions, where most teams are smothering the ball carrier in defence with 3 or 4 tacklers, and slowing the ptb down to snails pace; so a quick ptb is virtually impossible these days, especially from a prop forward. I'm on the record several times over bemoaning this type of organised cheating, but there seems to be no will from the RFL to do anything about it - referees continue to allow it to happen, so more and more teams push the boundaries.

Only people like you and NGBC can take two brilliant victories and still feel the need to find someone to scapegoat - I mean seriously lads, what's wrong with you?
Chester hasn't got a magic wand and as sure as night follows day we will hit the wall - later rather than sooner I hope. So what I'm suggesting is why not save your venom till then, you'll be able to have a feeding frenzy I'm sure but in the meantime let the rest of us enjoy the moment. Thanks
