You clearly have a dislike for MC but I think he's doing ok.
Not many would have taken our club on. He's put thousands of his own money into the club got it now, probably the best run club in SL. Works hard with CB and others and his reward......?

MC is probably doing the best he can with the money that is at his disposal for the club but 'best run club in SL'? I don't think so. Balanced books yes good job well done by the sounds of it...little if no reward for him unfortunately but he knew that when he took it up and may now like to walk away if he got the opportunity.

Best run club....I said on another thread the ground is a shambles at the East Stand with it looking like a building site as you walk down the side of that part of the ground. In terms of new business sponsors that have been recently attracted to the club they will not be impressed or potentially come back when they are taking their corporate clients to their sponsored match. It's those potential bigger investors the club needs to pull in more as well as 'Joe public'.

That area of the ground now also looks like a fire risk with little exit points away from the East Stand...

I spoke to Brian Smith in Sainsbury's in January I asked if he would be here after this season and he said that he didn't even know if he would be here this season. He told me he didn't feel the club was run right and everything was frustrating him. He said the player group were great and he couldn't ask more from them. But things like not putting any heating in dressing rooms and making the players go in their own cars to Fev as a coach would cost too much isn't fair on the players.

I didn't want to post this however everyone seems to think good pay and higher player budget means the coach is in the wrong. But to me Brians Smith was right behind his players and felt these penny pinching measures were unacceptable.

I guess some things come at a cost but whats done is done. We have just started the season and we still have a long time to go. Lets get behind the club despite our beliefs and opinions. Would MC really want us to do so bad? I doubt it, he has put a lot of effort into the club and is learning everyday. Now is the time to stick together and do as little as we can (turning up to the games whether its one or all of them, etc).

I have just listened to the press conference and to be honest I am very impressed with MC- the only other time I have heared him speak was after the Million Pound Game (not much mc news in oz)=- and again he impressed me!

He is up front with what the club has and what it needs- and I believe he will tell any incoming coach exactly the score before he signs- he has turned our books around and is doing a fair job (great JOB if he gets us playing in a new stadium or redevelop BV) - AND THE BEST THING IS HE HAS THE CLUB AT HEART..

to be fair to him we are in the best position we can be with what we have- we wont go any further until somebody puts more money in.

As for BS (I want to go harder but wont) - see ya later little man syndrome -your childish actinics outdated coaching and your non player management skills are not welcome at a club like wakey- tell your story walking!!!!!

Believe what you like we talked about two players but I can't be d with this to be honest. I don't care if you believe this happened or not. people will think what they want and if you think this is made up I don't care. We did talk and he did say this but there are so many people in the know they will no doubt make up what really happened. I hope he does make a statement when he gets home. I'm not anti Carter he is doing the best he can and if he doesn't want to over spend and is watch cost fair enough it's his club and money and he stands to lose more if we fail.
