He has done a decent job in making Dewsbury competitive on a very limited budget and the lads at Dewsbury speak very well of him as indeed do most people who worked with him when he did some coaching with us last time around.

If you are wanting someone with an extensive CV the list is going to be a short one.

He also presents a good image for the media.
In a lot of ways, I'd rather have a head coach with lots of experience at lower level than someone with extensive experience of top level.

Perhaps more comfortable working to a tight budget, experience of dealing with players of more limited ability.

But even then Bullseye makes a good point. The lower level coach will be more inclined to know what he is getting into.
Effectively, we want the best coach we can get who appreciates what we are.

In days gone by the perfect coach for this kind of job would’ve been Peter Fox. Proven at all levels. Able to get more out of limited players but also able to cope with bigger egos and a track record of saving clubs that were in a mess.

A friend of mine has told me today that whilst calling for some petrol over near Manchester he happened to notice MC and a certain ex Salford and crusaders coach in the same services . And it's not Brian Noble . Don't know how true this is but thought I would share it

I'd rather have Agar back, frankly, he was more inspirational than the guy you are on about.

Please don't be true. I don't think Harris proved himself and would be too big a risk of failure for us. We need someone who gets results on tight budgets, not someone used to failing to get results on tight and significant budgets.

Harris is one of those blokes who could put a glass eye to sleep.
