I'm not sure what your point is. You want to use one argument for Chase but not for other players? Anyway, I hope you're right about them both next season. I don't think you are, but I hope so.

If we are reluctant to pay Godinet what he wants apparently then do any of you believe we will pay what Rangi wants. I think that will be the problem with any player released by Salford who I suspect rewarded their players better than we could ever hope to match.

Could it be that Godinet wants more because he has been asked to play out of position?
He was signed as our first choice SO but moved to interchange hooker.
Probably feels a little let down but didn't take his bat and ball home and played his part in our survival.

I think he would be OK after all he isn't getting any younger and at 29 years old going on 30 hasn't many years left at the top level.he has also been released by Salford so no transfer fee.

Rangi Chase on his day is brilliant BUT on other days he is very ordinary. IF we could get him for the right money who wouldn't have him but 250k would be stupid, irresponsible and in any event, I think beyond our means. Anybody who thinks we should have him on that kind of money clearly needs a brain transplant.
