| Sorry guys. I have to take the pic down as it kinda bypasses the swear filter.
I'm sure we've all seen it now anyway.

| That is so obviously a prank tweet by a team-mate; the funniest part is bigalf using faux outrage in an attempt to whip his disciples into a frenzy.

| Not wise, but hardly massively offensive.
Looking forward to Sunday, great game to have first up. Early season is always a bit of the unexpected, I wouldn't be surprised to see a tight game to 60mins then one or the other to grab a couple of quick tries and maybe make the result look a bit more convincing than it should be.

| Quote: The Avenger "The top 6 will most likely come from
Wigan Leeds Warrington Sts Huddersfield & Catalan
I can't see Cas finishing above any of these teams, which means Cas will be fighting it out in the bottom 6 with Wakefield'"
I'm not sure about:
Leeds: Lost a lot of depth and only one front-line player brought in. I'm sure their youngsters will be excellent in the long term, but they seem to lack a bit of experience once outside the first choice 17.
Wigan: As with Leeds, they seem to have lost a lot more than they have brought in. I don't think they have replaced Blake Green.
Catalan: Little squad depth below the first team again. If Carney doesn't meet expectations (or gets arrested) and Escare picks up an injury, they only seem to have very inexperienced young players to call upon.
I'm not saying all these teams will struggle, but with a bit of bad luck at least one of these could be looking over their shoulder come mid-season.

Wakefield - Calder's no.1 and the team of the future.: |
|
| We will win on Sunday and also the following two rounds against Hull Kr and Widnes. I am very confident for all those three games. Saints in round 4 will probably be the first time we come a cropper.
They have three confirmed players missing on Sunday but I take it on good authority that Oliver Holmes and Roberts are also definitely missing, and Moors is doubtful. even if they had had a full team out I would have been super confident about winning, as the boys are buzzing, and they are not going to be the team they were last year. I am certain we will also win our first home game v Hull KR and although the next away game at Widnes will be tough we will win there too.
It will be tough making the top 8 but i think we have a very realistic chance as we will definitely come above our first 3 opponents.

Plenty of confidence in that post,
Weve alot of depth this year and expect that to be shown when we name our 19 for this weekends game,a 4 point margin of victory for cas
Good luck for the season after sunday though

Whilst I can see what you're saying with regards to Leeds and Catalans, I can't agree on the Wigan assessment. They have brought some real power into the pack with the addition of Mossop, Patrick and Tautai (who I expect to really shine in a strong Wigan side). The loss of Blake Green I expect to be covered by the promotion of George Williams, Ryan Hampshire and Sam Powell.

| The bookies (Wm Hill) are giving us 8 points on the handicap and it will probably be a tight first game.
Desperately hoping for a Wakey win and it's probably a good time to be playing them (we have a more settled squad and they have new players in key positions)
It would be a great game for Owen to score a couple and prove some of the doubters wrong.
Come on Trin !

Think you're probably right there, I wouldn't enjoy seeing a Carney V Owen match up.

There aren't too many wingers that can match up to Carney.
We have to try and make sure that we either keep the ball away from him or, at least make him turn round.
The guy is a beast with ball in hand but, his game is all power and not quite so much fancy footwork etc.
Having said that, Owen against his old club should have a point to prove.

I think teams later in the season got him Sussed, just make sure there is enough cover so your centre and winger can double tackle him.

Holmes, Roberts and Moors are all fit according to Powell in todays paper. I love your optimism but I think the clubs around the bottom are so close the hope to win all 3 three opening games is a big ask, although not an impossible one. They will all be tight I reckon with a score or so either way in each. If you offered me 2 wins from 3 now i'd snatch your hand off. FWIW i've got us down to finish 10th ahead of Hull KR and Widnes.
