| 1. Paul Taylor! it's going back a few years (possibly decades) he made his debut(his only game for us) against Leeds at home. Missed three easier tackles that lead to try's knocked on twice straight from scrums ( he played at 6) His two penalty kicks to touch one was caught before it went out and the other crossed the dead ball line all this in the opening 20 minutes. Thankfully he was replaced after 20 minutes never to be seen again.
2. David Bailey, top try scorer in the New Zealand domestic league, the next big thing oh dear he came to us.
3. Robert Piva
4. Shane Kenward

Paul Taylor can't really be classed as one of the worse, as he did his ankle ligaments in, in his first game and couldn't reprieve himself. When fit seemed to go pretty well for Oldham the previous season.
Bailey and Piva were poor after so much was expected.
Thought Kenward was really good for us and there are plenty worse that should be in front of him.

Possibly one of the more ill informed post I've read on here and that's saying something.
None and I mean none of this happened as far as I recall though like you I have no actual footage to prove it.
He played about 12 minutes as far as I recall, then damaged his ankle ligaments and left the field and was out for 18 month - something you forget to mention at all. Also is this the Leeds game we won at Headingley 22-14? Personally I don't think he played in that game but I may be wrong as I think he was injured in his BV debut but time plays tricks so if someone else knows. What I do know is he played well enough for the short time he was on the filed. Taylor or "Taz" was part of the great Gibson Parramatta team and was recommended by Ray Price no less. He'd also had two stints at Oldham where he was a fans favourite. He was unlucky but not the worst, try showing some respect by at least telling it how it actually was.

Must admit, I was at Paul Taylor's first and only game and apart from wearing headgear and getting helped off the field, don't think he did anything else in his 12 mins.
Seemed to be a solid pro that was good at organising teams and did the unglamorous stuff that doesn't get noticed.
Chris Mortimer got a load of stick at Wakey for doing just this, because he was an Aussie, people expected another Wally Lewis.

Shock horror, player fails to do anything spectacular in his very first (and only) TWELVE minutes in a Trinity shirt.
I think to judge someone on 12 minutes of playing time has to be almost the most ridiculous thing I've read on here in a while.

Whoa! Hold on there tiger!
I was not having a go at Taylor, was just replying and comparing what I remember that he did that day.
Was defending him and would have thought the rest of my post would have indicated that.

| I haven't read back through this thread but for the two players mentioned recently.
Taylor was a great player for Parramatta. He would have fitted our team perfectly. His injury was certainly unfortunate and can't really blame him for it. I don't suppose we lost a lot of money on the deal so i can't see why he would be on anyone's list.
Mortimer did get some stick at the time but as said, mainly because people thought we were getting Steve Mortimer.
Chris did a great job in my opinion and was a massive leader on the field. The people I know who were at the club at that time speak very highly of him.
