Good luck Rich, we know you were 1 that always gave 100%'"
A bit of a mystery this, no club have announced signing him so for him to leave with immediate effect makes you wonder why, if the club are paying his wages in full then why let him leave when theoretically we still have a chance of making the top eight, conversely if he presumably has no other source of income why would he leave with a pay off less than what he could have earned by staying till the end of the season, maybe there's nothing in it or maybe something's gone off what the club wants to keep quiet, time will tell I suppose.

Shame, but he's never been given a sustained opportunity, he needs to move on for the sake of his own career.
For next season, Johnstone, Jowitt, Crowther and Annakin are the ones who come to mind. I hope Walshaw will be one but it seems that ship has sailed too.

Perhaps if he's retiring or going part time there was a job offer too good to turn down or may not be available when his contract ends? I've no idea but that's what I thought. I'd still sign him at Bradford in the Championship though.

| Think as ever we are getting carried away with sentiment, panic and a touch of self pity - all very Trinity fanish.
For starters Richard Moore has been a very good players for us, not so good for most other clubs he's been at. I like him when he plays for us always did.
That said people are kidding themselves when calling him things like "a cracking player" - he isn't and in his first stint with us he ran very hot and cold. This time though his commitment has been beyond reproach though he remains the flawed player he always was in all other respects and will never get any better now. Truth is he should be very easily replaced.
The above is of course subjective - what isn't is the FACT that when we signed him the usual suspects were calling it a backward step etc etc and they are as ever the ones leading the moaning and groaning now. Truth is he came on a one year deal, did his job and went - that's life.
So instead of the relentless self flagellation over the loss of a slightly over the hill run of the mill SL players let's change the record and look forward to his replacement

I tend to agree.
He is good at what he does and does what he does with enthusiasm.
But there are others like that, and I've heard a few times that he is hard to coach because his enthusiasm takes him away from the game plan.
I've enjoyed watching him at Wakefield, both times, but if Webster has decided he wants to spend his money elsewhere, then I'm ok with that.

Ok that been said there are still 4 games left why release him? Scrutton been so average, Ralleigh past it. Tautai immense, Anderson has had the longest calf strain known to man. Very harsh by the club thats how we treat the 100% comitted players when on the pitch.

It's mutual consent, not just been cut off from the knees down.
What's done, is done.
Maybe freeing up money to bring 'Big' Charlie Leano back?

| Personally I get the impression that Webster finds it hard to utilise him in games. Moore has the ability to change games, some into victory but probably more into defeat. At times he gets caught up in the game and seems unable to stop the offload.
I'd noticed in a few games Webster didn't bring him back for a second stint when the scores were close. Maybe it's simply that the coach doesn't think he can rely on him to follow instructions when it matters?
Bradford away was a prime example of Moore playing brilliantly before frustration got the better of him only to be sin binned when we needed him on the pitch

Yes. He had a excellent game against leeds and warrington. Moore been far better consistency wise. Scrutton average so far with glimpses of being a handful, thats how i would some him up

| Much as I love Richard Moores enthusiasm and occasionally effective offloads, it comes at a cost. He is full of defensive mistakes and handling errors which serve to negate the positives he brings.
We have to aspire to be better than that next year and at his age it's unlikely the Moore will change much if at all, therefore I'm comfortable with his leaving the club.

I respectfully disagree. I thought he started slowly but the more games he plays the better he has been. The last couple of months he has in my opinion been our best front rower.
Moore has enthusiasm and stands out with his enthusiasm but if I had the choice of only one, it would be Scruton.
