Quote: JINJER "This is how I see it PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, if you go all H&S would you allow them to sit on the seats in the East stand? They could fall off. What about standing upright on the terracing? They could fall down twenty steps. Both of my daughters were brought up watching Trin, both watched every game sat on the barriers (they stopped at 21, too heavy to lift up) and not once did they fall and hurt themselves, and do you know why? Cos every minute of every game I was stood behind them holding onto them, no H&S, my responsibility.
This isn't Trinity's doing it's the way of the world, unfortunately people expect others to keep their children safe, and the downside to this is claims culture, lots of people want something for nothing.
The world's gone mad.'"
But if any of those incidents could be proved as negligence on Trinity's part, they would be sued.
So safer for Wakefield to tell them the rule, then it is their responsibility if they still do it.
It's a shame. I take full responsibility for my kid. I don't expect the club to do it......as long as nothing falls on us etc. But that's not the way of the world now.
