And to those suggesting Lomax milked a penalty: he has yet to do that in the whole of his Saints first team career so it's just ridiculous. He clearly hit his head when he slipped: his feet shot from underneath him, which no doubt at first sight looked like a big whack from Lautiti but which in fact was Lomax just going splat on the floor. If you hit your head on the floor without any means of breaking your fall you will be dazed. Hence he took a little time to get up.
As for Amor's shot: that was awful. I have no idea why he wasn't sent off. I didn't know his reputation previously but I hope that isn't the start of something we would rather not have. We have enough to deal with in Jon Wilkin who has now left us without an organising halfback of any description for the most important game of our season so far plus Leeds. I haven't seen Wilkin's tackle but I can imagine it because I saw the one he was banned for last year.
Amor is eligible for EGP and Saints usually claim it and move on. But Wilkin isn't eligible as he was banned 11 months ago and so he'll get two matches. If his tackle was anything like Amor's then he deserves it.
However, us fans don't.'"
On the Lomax injury I completely agree. I don't see Lomax as the kind of player to milk a penalty and he clearly did hit his head. The only issue was with the referee that couldn't see that the impact was nothing to do with Ali. There was no where for him to go and there was a possibility of him injuring himself as well with a player falling towards his knees.
Amor, I disappointed with him for that one. I saw it quite close live and now on replay and both showed to me he clearly aimed his shot.....and was right on target. He was under the refs nose too. Poor decision by both Amor and Roby (ref)
He didn't show anything like this before so I assume it was a one off. Clearly has an issue with lanky, ginger aussies but I hope he sorts that out of his game quickly.
I was further away for Wilkin's effort but he seemed to have two shots for me. They ddin't cover this in the Sky replay. He hit him high but I could be convinced that it was an accident at speed (though still more than a penalty on the day) but then followed up with a swing while Riley was on the floor. I think Wilkin is a great talent but he would have gone further in the game if he'd left this out of his game imho. He has form all the way through his career for wild tackles. That discipline has hurt him compared to Farrell, Sculthorpe, Sinfield and O'Loughlin who he was competing with but were more disciplined.
