And you wonder why people have an issue with you?
Tough times at Wakefield. Nobody needs you poking fun

| Quote: Khlav Kalash "We've had two seasons of cheap tickets, savings of £135 per adult supporter, potentially a large chunk of the £400k under capitalisation. The situation was in the supporters hands, they have chosen to hold back so now the income has to be generated some otherway. Whilst I understand the disappointment I'm not sure why there is an outrage over the player sales.'"
Got my season ticket and as you know i will watch them through thin and thinner.
I dont have issues with player sales.
I dont have a plan B
But what i also dont have is any evidence that the motives behind the player sales are only to balance the books.
We are only delaying probable relegation by one season and the only people that will benefit from another season in super league are the shareholders.
Off course the club want to sell more season tickets, but i dont believe even if we reached the required number it would have stopped player sales.
Next season is simply last chance salloon for shareholders to recoup some investment.
Can anyone can give me a sane reason why MC would allegedly put his house on the line etc.....for a club that until Jan 2012 he had little or no relationship with, come on be realistic you dont just fall in love with Wakefield Trinity overnight.

You may be right. He may be protecting his 'investment' but the alternative is he gives up, the club goes into administration, more players leave, suppliers lose out, Wakefield Trinity's name becomes synonymous as a non paying client and we start again in the lower leagues with little or no local business support due to a lack of trust and a narked off RFL who would be £200k out of pocket and with a mess of a calender to resolve.

| It is all very well some of the diehards on this site saying that we should all stop moaning and go out and buy a season ticket to help the club and to a certain degree I can go along with this train of thought. I have been a trinity supporter for god knows how many years but even I have become disheartened. They were selling season tickets on the back of the existing 2013 team with a promise of building on that team, so lots of us, me included went out and bought a season ticket. Now we have got rid of 4 of our best players and there could be more to come. There is no talk of any new signings at all in fact there is no good news at all coming out of the WTW management save for the crap that Daddy Cool keeps feeding us. Look at it from this angle, WTW provide thousands of people with a game of rugby league and that is categorised as entertainment, do you agree so far? Yes, well what if you had bought a ticket to go see JLS and the bloody Chuckle brothers turned up. I suspect you would be a bit miffed. I can see that unless some rising stars or a few tried and tested SL players are signed up then the ticket sales will remain stagnant. I cant say that I love Trinity because that is just a figure of speech for most fans (unless you are a bit weird) but I certainly enjoy being entertained by them and pardon me if I am wrong but unless you are a masochist and enjoy loosing there will be little there to shout about

I don't thuink anyone is saying that. What they are saying is if you don't buy your season ticket, you have to appreciate that we will only be able to afford a certain level of team.

| I would be panicking if we were selling players after Christmas.
By selling at the earliest possible opportunity, the club is giving itself time to breathe.
Players coming off wage bill, so they won't be paying wages out in the off season.
Hopefully players coming in a bit later than usual but saving on wages that they would have had to pay if signed when contracts expired and moved to the club.
As for Justin, sorry to see him go but needs must and that's the situation.
Posted on another thread that their is always going to be another Poore or Aiton waiting to be discovered and picked up.

| Some people need to get off their high horse and stop having a go at the fans that haven't yet purchased Season Tickets. A sharp dose off reality is what's needed. Claims and insinuations that the people of Wakefield don't want or deserve a SL team are nothing more than a slur. The apathy in Wakefield is no more than it is in Cas, Salford or anywhere else for that matter. You have to think we've been garbage for last 2 generations without even a sniff of success. Along with all the false dawns...we have an excuse for apathy in our City. Huddersfield has to be the worst Town for it considering the success the fans have witnessed in the last 5 season...do they deserve a SL team? In the games current set up yes they do because the game relies on sugar daddies, it as simple as that and we don't have one. Glover did his best to give us the impression we had one. That our main problem, not apathy in the City. You all fell for the bait and blamed your fellow fans on what was always going to be an impossible task. Anyone or anything that can be raised for cash at the club is and has been sacrificed and that was always the case no matter how many ST were sold.
I'm starting to think Agentxiii maybe right, were witnessing a full on asset strip.
If MC has the clubs future (and not previous investors) why did he not vote against the current proposed reforms? Buy voting for this he just about guaranteed our relegation next year (with a nice parachute payment of course). The alternative been proposed was a 14 team competition with one up and one down (as opposed 2 up and down), how would that not be in our better interest?

| Obviously I didn't see every game he played in a Wakey shirt but from I what I saw of him he was a bit of a liability for giving away daft penalties. I expect you can get better value out of the cap space he took up anyway. Whether those players are now still available is possibly another matter. I assume you must now have at least one quota spot free now to maybe target somebody from the WC?
I'd have thought somebody like Moore would bring some much needed size and experience to the pack too?

| I too did think if we set up with a budget similar to a championship team for this season would enable directors to recoup money. If so only thing that could save us would be the club's and the rfl not coming to an agreement over the way forward with superleague which may delay promotion and relegation for another year.
