I was about to say he looks like Richard Moore only to see Trinity are linked with him further down the article. It seems Agar is looking at u19s and fringe player's to bolster the squad, hopefully three of those are currently at the club.

I wonder if any of the young lads who went to Australia from Trinity last year are on his radar.

Only seen the lad play a couple of times so it would be unfair to give an OPINION on his ability (Mosey would be more qualified).But I would like to give a opinion (if its o k ) on the wider policy. It seems needs must with the use of the loan market , but let’s not be paying more for players who are no better than our own , after all we would be developing and giving experience to players for other clubs gain. Also I owe an apology to JE as I on numerous occasions accused him (via e mail) of not using the 1873 scheme to recruit our own , but it seems I was wrong . at the last forum there was a very strong defence put on the issue of not recruiting the all conquering 18s (not being RAs fault) well it looks like it was . it seems there is NO appetite to recruit the three 10£ poms who would be  assets of ours not someone else’s.

If you're talking about what I said at the meeting then you've got it a little wrong.
What I said was that post Tony Drury/Richard Hampshire and pre Agar the lack of funds at the club meant little or no investment in resources into developing the GF team. It was therefore wrong to place the blame for their lack of first team readiness at Richard Agars feet.

This is not just my observation but that of a couple of parents of players from the Grand Final winning Academy.

Smith is Tony Smiths nephew, ex Wakefield Coach and half back not Wire coach. He was in the Wakefield Scholarship system before being signed by Leeds. He is a tall lad with real pace for a Prop/Second row.

Will be hungry to prove himself I expect which can only be a good thing.

It may well be, but if its what we can afford then thats just how it is. if more money comes in the season may well seem that bit shorter!!
