I don't disagree the fact is the club was in a no win situation no money no sponsors and collapsing deadlines

One good thing though is at least we have players to wear the shirts

Just on the kit at Christmas thing I believe the only real time we ever got the kits for Christmas was when AG was in charge, I may be wrong but I don't think under Teds tenure we got many kits for Christmas during the SL era

Seem to remember that AG ordered the kit, took delivery pre Christmas, sold the kit ( or some of it as there seems to be a massive stock left in shop of shirsts ) , took payment for the kit but never paid the supplier. This left te club with a winding up petition for several hundred thousand pounds. Not sure but I think MC and his team struck a deal with the supplier to prevent the the winding up from liquidating the club.

Yes it will be disappointing for the younger end of our fan base not to get their kit Xmas morning but am sure they will have plenty more to open on the day and will be pleased to receive their Wildcats gift voucher so they can go in and pick up their kits themselves. Perhaps the club will organise a special event when the kit arrives whereby the players are on hand to pass the kits over to the waiting fans .

The club are selling £50 vouchers, if people wanted to buy a shirt for a present get one of those and then they can get the replica when they arrive. Not ideal but its an option.

Quote: les-goose "With love from aunty Sue and uncle Bob merry xmas ps we couldnt get you a wakey shirt so here is something else.Poor show when at this time of year the club could have made some extra money as just think if they could have got a shirt they might have bought a few stocking fillers at the same time.'"

Just get auntie Sue to get you a training top, t shirt or whatever and get the new shirt when available. Win win situation club sells more you get more

I was looking forward to wearing my new (purple??) away shirt on Boxing Day at Headingley, but if they're not here then so be it.
At least I've got a team to go and watch in one of my multitude of previous shirts.

Looking forward to seeing and ordering my new kit(s) next Wednesday. Hope MC's choice of away kit is not so bizarre that it puts anybody off.

My point was beyond the realm of the informed fan.. To these who will make an opportunist purchase at the most commercially vibrant time of the year. Fwiw, as a kid would I want a shirt or a voucher on Xmas day?.. No brainier... I used to hate vouchers.. Always thought the rellies had used a cop out... And personally I never... ever... give vouchers for a gift, it lacks care... IMO.

The reality it that other gifts will be given... Please do not think that I think those at the club are not doing their best in the circumstances... the world is a difficult place...

Not getting the kit out at Xmas means that commercial sales will be less than is possible... Not from die hard and regular fans but from the periphery... Those who have a passing interest in the club... And poor service (albeit perception) has a significant potential to impact on the commercial viability of the club... Such situations need a management strategy... That is my point.

Calm Waters don't make good sailors If you help somebody as you go along then your life hasn't been in vain:

Can't wait to see this away shirt effort and hope its better than this seasons free kicks he's been producing! We've got a good goal kicker in MC as most have been two pointers icon_smile.gif

Due to incompetence of the last lot we had to get more sponsors inboard by the look of it. If it means a delay on shirt being produced to get this extra revenue so be it. Just be grateful we have a shirt to look forward to as if the last regime were still there we would probably be having a long boring Sunday with no club to follow
