Quote: Theboyem "Yep. Or have families that need looking after or are struggling as it is. There is more to life than Wakefield Trinity i'm afraid and it isn't just as simple as 'just pay an extra £100'. Many are highly likely to already be paying as much as they can afford.

Do you want a superleague club keeps getting, rather patronisingly, asked? Yes of course would be the answer from all, but not at the expense of struggling elsewhere in life. Times are tough and many of the 4k season ticket holders just can't afford to pay extra and those who think they should anyway are living on a different planet i'm afraid. People will do what they can but without extra external investment we are peeing into the wind.'"

All good points.

I think we have to be careful and try avoid the guilt tripping we rightly pulled Bradford up on during their crisis last year. If you have a spare few quid around to throw at a business, well done, but don't try to act as a class above those who have other expenses of greater need than a badly run business. Those who made the mess, are they digging deep as others are asked to?

Theboyem has it spot on. We need a massive external investor, we're just throwing money down the drain without it. Unpalatable as that may be, it's the truth.

Please hold your water until Monday. We have no intention of throwing anyones money down any drain.

We are also very conscious of the fact that what people can afford will vary hugely across our fan base, but the truth is that the club need money and the more that can be put in the better the club will be to perform on and off the pitch!

So is the meeting free to enter?
Or pay on the door?
Or by Donation?
I presume you will be having a raffle? Auction? Pie+Peas?
DVDs? Programs? and merchandise for sale?
Every penny counts!

Free to enter, we need as many supporters as possible to turn up to this meeting.

As TRB said earlier, final details are still being discussed but if you can make it, then please do. It is vitally important!

If the basis of this meeting is what we can do going forward then forget it. There is no going forward until we find out what has happended, why all the secrecy? Why do we have to part with our money on a basis of trust?

Why did Elstson lie to us on the radio? Why after that is he still at the club? Why has Elston and Glover gone quiet? Something just doesn't look right. As already said, we were soon to jump to sceptical conclusions when the Bulls made a similar plea, how do we know were not in the same boat. Is administration a good possability at the end of this? Seen as they won't be "looking forward" questions I don't suppose I'll be able to ask them.

Talking to everyone at the game on Sunday it quite clear that the fans in general don't have any confidence in the management. The reaction to Carter was suspicion. Everyone was just mad at the board let it get to this. This "whats happended is in the past" attichude will not win any of the larger supporter base over. Fans simply will not get behind the fund raising (at least not in the numbers needed) if they have no confidence in the board. The fans confidence has to be restored, the first part of the meeting should a truthful q&a about what has happended. A full explanation about How we got here why the fans have been lied to.

Hopefully have our mind put at rest and get behind the fun raising in the knowledge were not going to end up like a Bradford situation. Maybe an apology for the lies we were told by Elston, Glover when the early bird ST offers was running? At least an explanation of were the money is going if raised a caste iron guarantee that none of it is going back to any kind of director loans.

Without these directors loans there would not be a club to have a meeting about! it is easy to judge with hindsight, the real trick is to let the people who are trying to get us out of the mess do so. Remember it is their money / houses etc on the line, unless you want to remortgage yours and become a serious investor and have a place on the board.

lets keep this in perspective.

Well im not in a position to do that, of course you know that but it didn't stop you playing the "if you can do better" angle. So my moneys good but my opinions are not? That goes for everyone else that feels cheated when purchasing the early bird offer. This is not about me it's about the feeling of anger in the wider supporter base. The majority on here will always be there, it's wider support base that needs engaging with.

Sorry,I think you have misunderstood what i was trying to say, it;s not a case of if we can do better or not, it's a case of it's of the board have paid to be in that position and the only way we will be in a position to do so, is by "buying in". All opinions are valid, it;s just that we all have different ones. I feel as miffed as most at this situation as most people, but, when it comes down to it, i can rally round and try and raise money for the club, but it will always be someone elses club that i support, as opposed to my club.

sorry but despite my respect for sandal cat trb and all, theres a real feeling that the trial hasnt taken place, so the reabilitation and trust cant start, feel t will be a hard meeting to control, good luck but I agree with much of what is above, and so do many others, in my opinion the recovery of this club, if it happens at all, will be a slow process, i hope it goes well in the long run, but dont see how at present a meeting not touching mainly on the subject of the truth will help.

I think many may have a problem with the fact that the main protagonists in getting into this situation are still involved at the club. Glover has moved on to sorting the ground and college courses and Elston has been shoved sideways but still has a role with a grandiose title. Rightly or wrongly whilst they remain some will be very scepital about handing any of their hard earned over. Whether justified or not the lack of a sacrificial lamb could well be a major issue.

The new chairman has stated publicly that come what may, we'll have a team in SL next season. I guess it comes down to whether you trust him with that statement or not.

As I understand it, the meeting is aimed at looking to find ways forward. If there aren't any, then the necessary arrangements will be made. SC, TRB and others have stated that they won't advise fans to put their money into a venture that has no prospects whatsoever, and I for one trust them with that. I don't see why it should be a meeting that's hard to control if the people who are there actually want to do something to help. If they can.

A hard-nosed look at the accounts would be more productive.
