I totally agree - this place is rapidly becoming unpalatable to those people with a bit of common sense and decency. There's not much fun in it any more.

unfortunately to some extent this forum represents society

After a period of lurking in the early days I started to post a bit on this forum, however as this season has progressed I have felt less and less compelled to post and when I do post, it seems to get attacked and I don't think it's just me, there seems an air of negativity running through this forum an it's starting to get ugly. Personal attacks towards people who earn a living at WTW and using names like "plebs" is down right immoral. I am quite sure these people are not "Stealing a living" and are doing their best to help WTW in fact picking on SE is clearly wrong as one part of our licensing application was applauded and that was the community side of the club, which I'm pretty sure she is one of those responsible for helping improve it

No, the CEO should be any good at his/her job as a first qualification. Same for anyone else. Couldn't care less about how much they "love the club" as that's only a qualification for supporters.

The attack on Sarah Elston is uncalled for and downright disgraceful; it is frustrating however, that two years on from administration we find ourselves having more financial troubles and so James Elston as the CEO cannot be immune from criticism and must be held accountable.

But you and all the supporters should be interested in the financial side of things as it directly relates to what happens on the pitch. If we are skint the the playing budget suffers and the quality of players we have reduces. And ccj's and wup's are not going going to look good when a player is deciding which club to join. Not paying suppliers gets us a bad reputation meaning the better companies won't deal with us and we are left with either cheaper, lower quality merchandise or using small companies that can't produce big enough numbers to satisfy demand. The same goes for other suppliers at the club, catering, equipment etc.

The finances affect everything and are THE most important aspect of the club. As fans we can only do so much, its then up the the powers that be to take that and the sky money, sponsorship etc and spend it wisely. To go from a clean slate to on the brink again in a little over two years is very worrying and doesn't reflect well on anyone involved. Especially when the current ceo was in charge last time it happened. Rightly people are going to start asking questions, it just a case of making sure it is done in the correct manner.

I've got enough problems worrying about my own finances without worrying about the clubs. Rugby League is my means of escaping them for a couple of hours. It would be nice to win a few more, but Wakey fans are used to not winning - gives us something to moan about!

We will never be able to spend to the full cap until we stop selling season tickets for next to nothing.

And yet the only thing that tells you we're 'on the brink' is rumour and conjecture on an internet message board; the owner did his best in a recent statement to put the financial position into perspective, but for those people with a persistently gloomy outlook, that doesn't trump what gets said on here.

It's a shame - the whole forum has been taken over by the doom and gloom brigade, to the point where it seems that pretty much anyone is fair game.

Can't understand the animosity towards SE - I'd certainly take her on and I'm sure many others would. She is a real Pro in her job. Classy lady.
