| Guys, I appreciate that there is frustration and I genuinely wish there was more I can tell you. It is a couple of months since we met with Sir Rodney and the position is pretty much as I told it. Until all the ducks are in a row, there will be little / no news, but seeing as many of you thought we wouldn't get this far, all I can do is ask you to keep the faith. The only thing to doubt is the timescale, not the outcome.
Just a note to remember - at the point the NM site was removed from the Greenbelt under the LDF there was nothing to stop Yorkcourt sacking off the application that includes the stadium and re-applying without it. That they did not and, having now confirmed the application by completing the reserved matters, they have committed to it.
That's all I can give you - but it seems to be a million miles away from where we were 10 years ago!

Trinity Heritage will know
Forgot about Headingley, which Wikipedia says they played at first in 1889. The proper new stands mask the age of the place. 1895 was when we moved in. You can't imagine a cycle track around the old girl now can you?

Nobody would be able to get away this doing, would they? ..........

Facilities and capacity won't come into it anymore. WTW's only problem would be getting kicked out of Belle Vue. I can't see that happening either as long as you keep paying the rent you should be OK. Has the club looked into buying back the stadium from the Bank ?

Are you certain about the facilities and capacity thing ?
Even though the franchise system has more holes in it that a large chunk of Dutch cheese, it wouldn't be a surprise for some form of minimum standards to be applied.
We all know that the iconic Odsall stadium isn't up to spec (apart from capacity), but there's nothing wrong with having some minimum standards.
Also, I cant see us buying the\stadium back, when we are supposed to be moving but, who knows ?

| If the RFL keep franchising its back on again. If P&R comes into play their could be some form of minimum standards. Cas Tigers and Wakey both got "C" licences last time round so we should be OK depending on the criteria.

The problem is that, there is a strong possibility of the top flight being reduced to 12 clubs and an outside chance of Toulouse wanting in so, who goes ?

If the SL is reduced to 11 or 12 existing clubs (with or without Toulouse) it will be done by who finishes in the bottom places - not by means of criteria.

Just to put forward the doomsday scenario then.
If the bottom 4 were Bradfoid, Salford, London and Catalan, how many of these would be relegated or, do you think some other criteria will be put in place ?
Call me paranoid but, we've been here before.

| If two were to face the drop it would be London and Catalans if they finished 13th and 14th. The RFL have said this would happen if the 2X12 to 3X8 (option 3) were to be voted on.

Most people on here are not owed money by the club, so how would they know.

I can. It we are dropping 2 or 3 out of the top flight there cannot be any form of imunity for London or Catalans - not that the French would finish in the bottom half of the table anyway.
