The lad is ready to get stuck in on Saturday and get some fitness and game time under his belt, Agar is obviously satisfied with his condition otherwise he would not be here. Pleasing thing is about this signing is he's young, British, wanting to be the best he can be. Also going by what others have said has had to contend with some injuries so let's see what he does on Saturday.

I will try and assist.
He left Huddersfield last November. He was carrying an injury.Sometime between then and March this year Phil Veivers
signed him to Salford but he arrived/was announced as a signing after Veivers had been sacked. It was stated he was 3 weeks away from fitness. rlSourcerl
On 25th March RLE reported that Salford had terminated his contract.Alan Hunte being quoted as saying Molloy had a knee injury and it was left in the hands of the chief executive at Salford.
A week or so ago it was reported that Molloy was going to a tribunal via the RFL regarding the matter.
It seems he has been training with your players for some time and Richard Agar is happy.
I wish the player well.It may be the timing of his arrival was the problem but a Salford follower has posted on the 'Player Movement' thread on the VT.
He had been through the Wigan academy system before he went to Huddersfield.

| Quote: bren2k "We will never know the full story; it's safe to assume however that if he was the world-beating prospect that some of the armchair head coaches on here would have you believe, he'd either be playing every week for us, have been signed up by a top 4 side or would be one of the players rumoured to be off to Aus. Since none of those are the case, there must be another reason that he's not a first team regular.'"
Agree, we haven't got a clue what goes on in training and behind close doors, whether he's lazy, bad attitude or whatever ateotd Agar is there to pick a side to win games, if Mariano isn't in the side there must be reasons and not because his 'face doesn't fit'.

I understand you have an opinion, people have stated that Agar knows what he is doing. Give the lad a chance, why doubt him when you know nothing about him? Don't judge a book by its cover. Lets just wait and see ...

You would not have noticed him as he wouldn't have been playing. Broke into Giants first team a couple of years ago, played a few games and really looked like he was going to make, he then got his knee injury and has not played much at all in the last 18 months.
There is no doubt Jon Molloy has loads of ability, he has played a number of first grade matches and done well (not showed good signs, actually played well). He was available as clearly there were question marks over his fitness. Given his history I wouild be amazed if that has not been thoroughly checked out and who knows what clauses are in his contract about knee injuries?
Very good potential upside if you have him on a low risk contract.

LOL he didn't play for Hudds U20's last season against us, that's probably why you didn't notice him.

| I am not unhappy with this signing, as long as we balance the squad in the right manner.
I seem to recollect him playing for Hudds first team and impressing, so provided he can prove his fitness, we may have pulled off a good deal here!

My opinion is a 'smug attitude' because it doesn't concur with yours? I don't agree - it's up to you to deal with that without resorting to veiled threats about 'taking it further' - that's just silly.
Out if interest, where did you get your coaching experience?

| apologies to bren the statement abouttaking it farther was a bit silly i agree. on my coaching experiance youl just have to take my word for obvious reasons i cant say .if the lad turns out to be a good n all well and good my original feeling was why would we want a player who had failed a medical when we had potential waiting in the wings i sppose time will tell
