Theres also no shame in losing a game to a team as good as East Hull.'"
Very true and all good runs have to come to an end and fortunately it was done by one of the best teams around
From what I saw of the game today, hull played by far the best rugby, however Crigg kept composure and were always in the game, bring on round 4 in the U14's BARLA Cup

| Quote: muttley cat "Crigglestone 13s unbeaten run is over.
3 rd time lucky for East Hull who unfortunately after 3 attempts don't get any silverware for all their endeavors.
Unfortunately the game was marred with a red card but I didn't see the game with my crigg lad being in NEW YORK and me having a younger lad to get to a match and then a wedding.
I'm told 2 new player's were sound for us and we had a few missing but as they say you play what's in front of you.
To basil faulty , the east hull 13s players , coaches and guardians congratulations on being the team tobreak the streak'"
And best wishes to Crigg in the War of the Roses game - bring back the spoils for Yorkshire.

Godd result that
Malet Lambert Y7 lost 14-6 away at Brooksbank Halifax yesterday. Tough game but looks like the big lad from Siddal was the difference scoring two crucial tries, whilst we had a perfectly good one disallowed (so i was told)

| Cas academy yr 7 boys have made the Yorkshire cup final 4 beating serius academy.
This means that all 5 boys teams have qualified for the national cup and the last 4 of the Yorkshire cup,a fantastic achievement for the school and all the work and effort the players and teachers put into these teams, they say sport in schools isn't taken seriously but at cas academy you can see the results when you put the time in.

Well done to Cas High - a tremendous acheivement and congratulations to all.
It is so important to have home draws and particularily in the later stages of the Champion Schools - I saw just how important first hand home draws are on Tuesday in Elland!!!!!
How many of the Cas High teams were at home Brayton?
I did notice that the quater final draw was not too kind to the Hull Schools with all 8 schools drawing away fixtures.
Consistant if nowt else!

| Stanningley and panthers 13s shared the points after drawing 30-30.
Could of and should have been a panthers win but yet again the Leeds society ref penalised the panthers to death.a last gasp try levelled the scores in about the 40th minute of the second half.
The panthers should be well pleased scoring 6 tries to 5 with not half has much ball has their opponents .

| We (Oulton Raiders Under 7's) played our first 'league' game this week today at Birkenshaw after 3 games at the Cas Panthers Gala last weekend being the lads' first real games. Slow to start and 4-1 behind very early on the lads seemed to get the hang of it real quick after the first 5 mins or so and got it back to end in a draw 6-6.
At the moment the lads main stumbling block is the fact it takes them ages from being tackled to play the ball, they seem to be looking round for instruction on what to do next - and the teams we are playing against are up and playing the ball while our lads are still getting back onside and getting themselves organised into some sort of defensive line.
Our lads seem to be the only team so far that are completely new to it, as the other teams so far seem to have a fair number of kids in their 2nd season - hopefully they will continue improve like they did during the game today.

| Spartans began life at their new home with a heart stopping last second victory over Kellingley.
After impressively building a 24 - 0 half time lead the Spartans then allowed a very capable Kellingley team to get a roll on. Unable to wrest the momentum back Spartans fell 24 - 26 behind in the last minute. A big defensive shot forced Kellingley to cough up the ball and an astute kick into the corner was touched down and converted.
Final score 30 - 26
An entertaining game for everyone except the coaching staff

| Right, been mega busy at work so not done an update from the Panthers 12s.
Big thanks to Hutchie and all at Hull Wyke who worked overtime just to get the game played the other week.
Panthers season opener against Stanningley was probable the worst we have seen them play. lost 50 -12 and really found it difficult to find a positive, but in true binks style I did. we were 32 - 0 down at half time but still came out in the second half and competed so showed at least some character. Credit to a Stanningley side who were well drilled and intelligent with the ball.
Onwards as they say training was a little different this week as we now have their attention.
