Stefan Marsh is a good, young British outside back who everytime i have seen him for Widnes this year has looked decent. A bit suspect defensively (as are most young british backs it would appear) but very handy with ball in hand. I was hoping we would try and get him on loan at the start of the season prior to him going to Widnes. I would presume they will have first dibs should Wigan choose not to retain him but if not, i would be happy with him.

I can't see much on that list that would be an improvement on what we already have.

Hopefully we'll keep what we've got but also Manase Manuakafoa would be a good addition as would Brent Kite who is 31 out of contract at Manly, an ex-Aussie international, both are big and powerful runners.

Think only a marque signing such as a very big powerful NRL prop/pack leader along with some real pace on wing/centre would really improve a quality squad that Agar has already built.

May need still to lose some that haven't really performed this season such as John & Southern to ensure a balanced player rosta.

Would be tempted to enquire about Moi Moi. Eels finished bottom this year but he's still stood out. He would give us the grunt up front and frighten opposition.

Manuakafoa would be one of the robust forwards we are looking for, could ideally do with two to beef up the pack which has performed admirably this year.

I like the look of Ainscough from Bradford.

As for the speedy back, fox and cockayne have been pretty good and shared 30 trys this season so would be happy for that to remain.

Collis is showing quality in flashes and hopefully we will see more next year. Lee Smith I like but can't help think he would go well at Full back.

I thought Lynne had officially signed, guess he's a project and direct replacement for Hyde/Tony.

All that said I trust in Agar to get the best out of whoever signs.

Agar has said in loads of interviews that we are wanting to retain Mathers, the sticking point is what he is asking for.
