Clarke was the only Super League standard player on show from either side yesterday. Fortunately for Cas he had a Cas shirt on.

What I can't understand is why aren't Wakey using 4 props (2 start/2 bench) ? and who are your first 4 choices at Prop ? I noticed the puzzling bench selection for Friday night - Mellars, Wood, Aiton and James. Yesterday we had Massey & Huby starting with Emmitt and Walker on the Bench (also Millington at 2nd row) and this although not looking pretty was quite effective.

Try telling Mr Agar....'cos he hasn't quite grasped the concept yet..

It's mind boggling. We have Johnson and Trout in the reserves yet we keep the likes of Mellars on the bench and play a hooker at prop! At least Big Ali is back this week, hopefully in the place of Mellars! Cas have a coach who picks a strong bench!

Because Fully is actually short for "fully paid-up member of the Richard Wright Spin Crew" and he cannot allow anything derogatory to be said about Cas, whether it is true or not.

Clarke had a very good game IMO and I couldn't understand how he didn't get MOM. Ferres - strange decision ? I don't think Clarke is ready yet for a starting position but when he comes off the bench for CT he can be quite devastating. I listened to Ian Millward's after match comments in the marquee and he said he would be contacting the England Knights selectors querying why he hadn't been picked for this years training squad. A future international - yes I certaininly think so.

Also Jordan Thompson got some good raps after the game.

Clarke is a million times better than Hudson ever was. He has Roby qualities - speed of thought and action - and his scoots are brilliant.

Thought Ferres and Owen went okay, but the rest.....

Agreed - but Owen needs to learn how to pass the ball and we need to get Ferres back in the pack where he belongs. Clarke = class.

Because if we were 'as bad as Widnes' it would have been a much tighter game - clearly.

It wasn't, we controlled and dominated the first half but weren't clinical enough. Had we have been it could have been over at half-time. In the second half, we tightened up and executed the moves and finished them off.

Owen bombed 4 scoring chances and was held up over the line because he decided to power over instead of passing the ball. Good game or bad - we got the much needed win and moved up the table.
