| WTW need to look at the lower league and give a promising young big 17 stone plus prop with good potential a chance at Super League.
Any ideas?

| How about Keegan Hirst at Batley? He's still a young bloke, is massive and appears to be a reet nasty piece of work.
Not a quick fix, but it would be interesting to see how he developed in a full time environment.

I'm afraid the answer has to be YES.
I don't like him but he had great success at Saints - this isn't the given some people think ask Simmons and Potter - yes he was lucky at Saints but he still had to do the job.
So IMHO based on previous history which is really the only way we can judge he's way better as indeed was JK.

Not sure he's got the heart for it to be honest. And he's got hands like feet.
But theres a young lad at Batley called Alex Walmsley. They signed him from Dewsbury Celtic and he IS a monster, 21 years old 6ft 5 and still developing! Not scared of putting it about if need be either. Fulltime training could be the making of him.

Best mate's cousin. Big lad. I believe we had his brother Liam on our books a couple of years back.

| Don't want Cas cast off's.
We should have WTW scouts picking up these big promising young lads. Drury's in a good poisition isn't he?

| Why not look at giving Tom Lillycrop a full time deal?
Couple of other potential signings: Mike Burnett (Might be injured, not see him featuring for Hull), Jordan Cox (Again might be injured, but he looks like a good prospct), Luke Ambler/Brad Singleton (One of these would surely be allowed out on loan), Steve Crossley (Left Bradford to join Dewsbury at the end of the season, he looks like a pontential SL player), Sam Barlow (More of a second rower, but he's definitely big and strong enough to play prop), Gil Dudson (Get him on loan from Wigan?).
Just a few potential. Steve Crossley is probably the most likely of all of those. None of them are "big scary props" (like Moi Moi or Moa) but as long as they make metres going forward, I don't mind.

| what about Craig Rhodes from Stanley? played at Leeds & Bradford in his teens. ruggered old fashioned prop give him the ball and the boy will run hard everytime. In a fulltime enviroment he could be a beast like a pale moi moi.

Back injury. And in all honesty, if it's a prop you want I wouldn't go near him. He's an ok backrower, but never a prop IMO.

| It's only when you sit down and go through who may be available that you can understand why we have gone with what we have. Apart from Rhodesy at Stanley the rest listed are no closer to being Super League props than the 2nd rowers we are asking to do the job.
Crossley maybe just cos of his size but he didn't really pull up any trees for Bradford other than one game against us. Surprised Thackray hasn't been mentioned based on the quality listed here!
