I am disappointed but trying to remain positive. I think we desperately need amor back now as an enforcer up front as the southern at prop has run it's course.

Wood was targeted for easy yards and was picked out many a time.

The goal line defence could have been better.

As for the ref well.. I thought he had a fair influence today as far as field position went when there were 4 points in it. His penalty for not square after 60 mins and not one given despite it happening all game from both teams was poor. Was very surprised the wrestling on the floor from giants was given so much time by the ref, but their wrestling tactics worked albeit looked untidy.

We need to start winning games soon. Some players need to play smarter. There were times men were drawn and hoods defence stretched but we decided to drive it into a man.

Pretty happy with John as he was getting involved and sent some good passes out when we were camped on their 20.

Have to disagree with that...the only time Hudds defence were drawn was when Cockayne got the ball and dragged two defenders over the line for his first try, and then scooted around their out-of-position winger for his other two.

We are throwing the ball around more than we did last year, but it is all lateral. We do not appear to have anyone that is capable of breaking a tackle (again !!). Lautiiti tried too hard in the first 15 minutes and lost the ball twice, and then seemed to go into his shell.

Smith, John and Wood all tried, but in the first half it was all to slow and predictable. It got quicker in the second half, but was still ineffective. We are just not turning possession and pressure into points !!!

Effort is there but I have to say the halfbacks and both centres can go home for me John offers nothing Mellers is poor and Collis cant pass a ball the less we say about Smith the better we have done it again signing overseas players who clearly are no better than out home grown players

We need some grunt up front and we have got to cut out the pens

I thought it was a positive performance today and if a few things had gone another way then who knows we may even had sneaked a win!

We matched an established top six side for long, long periods and had some very good field position....we must have forced about 5/6 goal line drop-outs which is a huge positive.

People can come on here and troll all they like, it's easy to do when all you see is a final result, going to the game you see a different picture (well I do anyway).

I don't think anyone can ask much more, the players are certainly putting it in for me and it's going to take time, it's an entirely new side and today was only their 5th game together. We look not too bad in defence for the most part, we have no problem gaining good field position and territory, just lacking that extra spark to get us over the line and capitalise on our good build up and field position.

I think that will come as the season goes on though....every game I see a few little more positives and certainly something for us to build on. Confidence is key....if they stick together and keep their heads up, things will fall into place I reckon....patience is key for the next few months.

We need a goalkicker asap! Heard the rumours regarding Paul Sykes, don't know if they're true or not but it's imperative we get one in and qucikly....you cannot afford to not have a good goalkicker in this day and age and the fact we've signed a complete new team and not got one is a bit odd really!

Agree with a couple of posters regarding a couple of decisions aswell....the killer one for me was when we got back in the game at 14-18 and were on top and having a good spell.....2 good tackles and putting Huddersfield right under pressure on their own line and the referee decides to pull us for not marking square when both sides had been doing it all game before that without being penalised....that was a huge call and swung the game for me. Also thought when Isaac John went over it could have been interesting if there had been the screen there to go to...another crucial point in the game.

Anyway, not too downhearted tonight, a positive display for me against a very good side who now sit top of the table.....an excellent crowd at 8,700+.

Have to say aswell, best following from Hudds I think I've ever seen at Belle Vue!

For two of our apparently higher earner Collis & Mellars have done jack all so far. Collis counldn't time a pass if his life depended on it and just drifts out of position and Mellars, the less said about his contribution the better. All those bagging Paul Sykes when there was a rumour the other week, would he really be any worse than these two, especially when you take goalkicking into account? That was pathetic today, whose turn is it next? Sorry people but we are a long way off where we need to be and not showing any sign of improving anytime soon.

I think people have to realise Hudds were long odds on to win this game, I don't care what anyone says this team is way better than last season. I'd rather watch rugby like this than the crap Kear served up.

Yes got an injury in the first half, so McGilvary went to his wing when he went off.
