There's the rare occasion they lose out, newly promoted sides get decent odds against the giants, most gamblers will back the favourites but Hull city fans, for instance, jumped on City to beat Arsenal at 26/1 and over, the bookies will have covered their losses with the amount of people adding Arsenal to their accumulators.
See you Sunday, wonder if our ex-lads'll come over and applaud us? I hope Charlie brings Foxy over.'"
as a gambling man theres no way you would have got 26/1 on city to win that game i remember it and the best price you could get was 11/1 and thats a big price for 2 teams in the same division and why are you always talking rovers down on other sites just latley

As I said "unfortunately" as I would much prefer you to win, being a Black and White myself. I think you can read more into their performance against the champions (despite losing) than your win over a team fresh from the championship. I hope very much that I'm wrong however.
All the best for the rest of the season.

| I would expect them to be a tougher prospect than Widnes but I think we can give them a tough game.
Expecting a close one again.

| It will be alot harder game than Widnes plus we'll miss Amor, HKR by all accounts have some good strong forwards this season while we're a lot lighter and still gelling as a team. Please if we win but not too disheartened if we lose aslong as we keep improving as a team and give their all for the shirt.

| Being an FC Fan would love a Wakefield win but very worried that Kr's Pack might have the edge in this one on the plus side im sure cockayne and fox will want to prove to kr it was wrong to let them go. And im sure washbrook will want to get one over on kr as well.

Poor comparison in terms of quality, but the Widnes pack was bigger than ours and we beat them with high energy and quick ptb's; they were blowing out their backsides in the second half, hence the rash of penalties.
Certainly going to be a tougher ask on Sunday, but I think it'll be a contest.

I had £5 on it with the big baldy bookies and won a cool £135, the bets were there to be had if you were early enough putting then on, a mate got higher odds as the Man Utd game went much the same way odds wise, did that one end 2-2 or 2-1 to City?
I'm just being realistic with regards HKR, we've a new squad and important players missing, had Blake been fit I wouldn't think twice about the result, Dobson's got alot on and is missing kicks for fun.

| This has the potential to be a classic as i dont think there is much between the teams. Our team especially the pack showed a level of commitment and professionalism last week that i have not seen in yonks. By the looks of things our players are a determined, gritty bunch that will make life uncomfortable for most teams hopefully. Wakey just against KR i hope.

I'm glad that Cockayne went because of his off field issues, if they hadn't happened I think we would have resigned him.
Letting Fox go was a mistake, but Morgan treated him quite badly last year so it was probably as much his choice to go as ours.

He certainly knows where the try line is and another couple this weekend would be cracking

| this is a close one to call. i think the loss of amor is massive to us, as we don't have a big pack anyway, but it is getting smaller and smaller...
for probably the first time ever i am hoping for dry conditions to see wakey throw the ball about. if its wet and muddy, our pack will not cope, but if its an open game.....
heart says wakey, head says KR - head wins - KR by 4
think we are in for a good game....
