However I will be backing Agar and will judge his tenure based on results. At the moment though I do feel a little deflated about the whole situation. Maybe with some quality signings from Agar I will start to feel more optimistic. I'm just finding it difficult to pick out positives at the moment. People will say 'it will be better than the dross that Kear has served up this season' but that is the easiest counter argument in the world. It's done now though, time to move on TFC!

Very arrogant post. No doubt if you do well in play offs it will be because Agar said he was leaving and if you don't it will be his fault. The guy doesn't stand a chance. Only time will tell. Most wakey fans will at least give the guy a chance to show what he can do.

We were not a 'top side' when Agar took over, although nor are we one now he's left.

We were becoming a top side following the foundations Shaun McRae left us, the next two coaches made some very poor desicions and were sacked.

The recruitment desicions of these two guys, followed by the abysmal injury plague in 2008/09 meant he was up against it right from the start.

He has since built a fairly good team (on paper), but failed to get the performing consistently and compete with the best in SL.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's left Hull and he should have got alot more out of the resources he had available Although I'm not so completely one-eyed that I cannot see that the situation he found himself in at the beginning of his reign was a bloody tough one.

What a farce , no season ticket for me this year I don't care how cheap they are.Gone are the days when I blindly support Wakefield ,because I've been let down too often , the appointment of Agar and how it was handled, was the last straw.

I suspect that at Wakefield he will be told that is precisely what he has to do. No matter what people think about Andrew Glovers pockets and how deep they are, we will have to promote youth into the team purely from a financial perspective.
I understand that Richard Agar is very well respected by the players that have played for him and by others who haven't and think that he may help us to attract some better quality players to our team.
Apparently he has alos spent quite a lot of time learning his trade in Australia in our close seasons (something that isn't shouted about but can't be a bad thing).


Whatever you think of him and his appointment the fact is that he is now OUR coach and as such deserves our backing.

Get behind him and the club, buy your Season Tickets and help us to increase the amount that we can spend on players. I just cannot see how people can complain that we are not going to improve yet are not willing to actually invest (at an absolute bargain price) in helping us to do just that.

2500 Season Ticket sales should not be unmanageable, in fact at £100 (less than £8 a game) we should be selling many more than that IMO. Not buying one is only going to hurt the club and the team going forward.

Please, just accept that we have a new coach who was the best man available to us and get behind the team. We can have a good season next year but it needs the backing of the fans to push us forward.

I hope we have a good season next year and you end up wanting to see more than 5 games - in which case it will cost you more than the £100 that you could have paid to watch 13 games.
