Season tickets will cost £175 (early bird price). If 2500 people have signed up for a Gold membership before 30th September the cost will be £100, for everyone. If this target isn't achieved, then its the full early bird price. Seems simple enough to me.

That's not what the letter says. It says that it is £100, and that is the price on the form you return. It states that if 2,500 sign up, they will "keep" the price at £100. If less, it will revert to £175.

My reading of it is that it is £100 until 30th September. If you wait until after that date, there is a risk it will be £175.

It says £100 on the form, and so if I send it in with a cheque for £100, they can't ask for another £75 on 1st October.

I suppose this is why Bradford went down the pledge route, to get an idea of numbers before people had to pay up.

I'm sure there will be something in the T&C's thats makes people aware that should the target not be achieved they will be seeking the additional payment.

Quote: PHe "If true then this sort of detracts from tomorrow's announcement. I just can't understand why the club didn't hold on to the letters for a couple more days. Apparently JE outlined the deal to Supporters Trust people last week and I don't know how much detail was given, but not a murmour has been forthcoming Why not tell the ST holders first after all we are special icon_wink.gif

There arent any terms and conditions on the letter, and the form says £100 and to buy, not pledge. I think the gist of it is that you should get your jacksy in gear and get it for £100, because you risk paying more if not enough sign up. On the other end, if loads sign up, everyone gets it for £100.

I can't say any other way it makes sense, or else who will make a promise to buy when the price could go up by 75%?

I'm aware of that part and will endeavor to get that clarified as soon as I can

but even then that would be a price freeze for the second year

at the end of the day if its promoted right we shouldn't have a problem with 2500 members should we

if that is the case then the club have a massive uphill challenge

You're right snowie, I'd say with an average support of at least 4k, 2500 season tickets at £100 should be easily attainable, even if there is no promotion of the offer beyond tomorrow's announcement. However the apathy of the Wakefield public can never be underestimated.

A while ago Eric France offered to double the money the club received from ST sales if the club hit a mark, I forget the figure, but it wasn't insurmountable, yet it wasn't achieved.

slightly different the club has genuinely offered a fantastic deal to the fans whether they get the coach that the fans want and in doing so will help bring in the players as the monies come in

come what may before Sept 30th I'll be getting my family gold season tickets

last year my money went to Ted and if I knew what was to happen I would of held back and Andrew would of got it, he honoured the season tickets for this season as dire as it has been so I can surly at least give him the chance with my money next season

You may be a very good SO but you would need a good coach to help you.

I'm sorry but if they've wasted time interviewing people like Goulding then its pretty clear the people in charge are wet behind the ears.

Agar or Milward, who do you fancy?

Have they interviewed Goulding though? And if they have, does it matter? As long as they get the appointment right, they can interview whoever they want in my opinion. But we won't know if the appointment is right until well into next season.

If I was playing stand off and I 'ran' onto the field I'd need oxygen to support me icon_smile.gif
Didn't AG say somewhere that we had 3 excellent candidates: icon_confused.gif: Agar, Millward, my money is on Tony Smith (from the Australian part of Cas) icon_smile.gif
Apparently we will be announcing next week, perhaps to take some of the thunder away from the cup final icon_smile.gif

Milward cos he's won stuff and coached some very good players. Are they the two in the frame?

I would say Millward, purely on the basis that he's not Agar.
