| Quote: Mutley Cat "mutts got to break his vow and agree with this. I was sure they would opt for 8 teams , i really do feel for lee but im guessing that a few bodies must surely start going when the school teams get up and running . I just wonder how many players have gone elsewhere at close season.
I did hear that a certain prop very big for his age had made his way over the border to join yourself rob im not going to name the lad but i was talking to his dad the last time rangers were up at crigg and to the player.
I cannot not wait for the new season might finally get to play on some better pitches but from what i hear and i think you mentioned as well the powers that be have U-Turned on funding and prefer to see our kids break legs ect.
like i said this is a break of of silence may get banned
no big prop come to us mutts although we have lost two for the minute 1 with a ligament injury and another who broke his hand yesterday and is looking at least 6 weeks out.

| Well Stanley Rangers U14s reached the Wakefield cup final today beating Normanton knights 28 - 10.
it wasn't the walk in the park as they might have expected as Normy came with a fantastic attitude to ship the ball from side to side, their hard work from the start paid off when they took a deserved lead.
Stanley's efforts wasn't making any impression as mistakes was costing them field position, by the end of the first half they had manage to claw them selves back into game with two converted tries to hold a 12-6 lead.
With having to then play uphill they moved the score along slowly to make all the scoreline flattering.
While I feel that Stanley hadn't put on the display in what we all know that they can do, it must be also congratulated that Normanton did in the first half look the better team.
Upton beat Crigg 20-10 to make a Stanley Rangers v Upton final

| Good game to watch Stanley finishing the first half down hill the stronger and went in 18-6.
Westgate then reversed the game by using some strong runs from their pack taking it to 18 all, extra time loomed.
A missed dropped goal added to the tension but it was a poor defense IMHO that allowed an 6 man over lap to Westgate and Stanley with their sliding defense was quick enough to cover the final pass
A well deserved victory To Westgate Wolves 22-18

Agreed, great game and a nailbiting finish. The drop-goal attempt hitting the post was probably the most exciting part.
Some very good talent at that age in the Wakefield area.

| In u11's can you scoot in your own 20 or own half without turning the ball over when tackled.

| Stanley Rangers have added another U13's team for this season, due to having a massive number of kids signing on. They've also recruited a humdinger of a head coach for the new team and since there are a few places left, this is a great chance to get your lads signed up. You know it makes sense!

| Another cracking game this morning between Crigg and Cas Panthers Under 12's finishing 28-14 to Crigg .
We got off to flyer scoring 2 early tries which was a bonus playing up the hill .In the end Crigg were 28-0 up at one point , but fair play to the Cas lads , they kept passing it about and scored 3 tries in the last 15 minutes or so which was well deserved .
The only bad point was one of the Panthers lads has ended up going to hospital with a knackered ankle ...fingers crossed there's nothing broken for the lad
Eastmoor away for us next week
