From a Cas fan, congrats on this news. It's no secret that when it appeared a 2 horse race, both sets of fans were hoping it would be the other team to go down for their own sake. To see both Cas and Wakey stay in the top flight is fantastic and it is the right decision IMO.

Hopefully we'll both push forward in this licence period and neither of us will have to feel nervous next time.

Yes, I would think it very likley that with KMPG's advice, the RFL asked them to withdraw.

I also suspect that they will not take a place in the Championship next season, which is a shame but equally the reality of the situation has to win through. The Crusaders club, without wealthy benefactors (well, willing to put money in), are not financial viable.

Congratulations, pleased for you, would have made a mockery for you to be relegated with attendances, youth development etc. It was only the way the club was run that was the problem and that seems to have been sorted out now.

Yep, the hard works starts now. Planning for the BV upgrade need to go in this week, or near as damn it. We’ve had a hell of a reprieve, and now it’s time to deliver on the promises. We need this in order to prevent the same a scenario happening next year (unable to plan due to the threat of demotion).

Now the dust has settled I would like to ask one question;

When was the Crusaders withdrawal made know to the RFL? If it was a while ago I would be thoroughly pssed off that it was not made known so that the club could have had at least a chance of retaining some of the better youngsters that have been picked over, and also whatever sponsors the club may have missed out on due to the uncertainty.
